This is a VA preferred community eye exam center , therefore the review is solely on an annual eye exam experience.
Staff were friendly and exam was thorough.
Inside the shop was clean and well organized. Parking is convenient.
Even though I didn’t order glasses here but from the prices they told me, they do have a good selection of reasonably priced frames.
Definitely was a satisfactory first experience.

My husband saw (and is seeing) Dr. Hess for a sudden eye emergency. Dr. Hess showed concern, imitative and went above and beyond at the first two appointments to help my husband and care for him with great attention. (Even seeing him on a weekend to be sure he was not in danger).At the third appointment, which I attended, he took clear and unmistakable offense to me asking more questions about the condition, medication dosage/weaning schedule and prognosis. His answers became inflammatory - “The inflammation will come right back and he’ll be right back where you started!” without giving me clinical reasoning or explanations to assuage my fears. I recently had what I thought was pink eye, but it was diagnosed as Uveitis. I saw Dr. Carly Ward and I was extremely impressed with her examination and the time she took examining me. She diagnosed me and prescribed 3 types of eye drops. She wanted to see me back the next day. Then when I came back, she thoroughly examined my eyes again, taking her time. I felt she really cared about my condition and that really made me feel good. She wanted me to come back the next week also. Again a very thorough examination.
