My dog was there to get his nails done and we all know how hard it is to cut black nails without hitting the quick and they didn't hurt him at all. They did a great job. He loved it and was very happy to get treats afterwards.“

“Update: I’m so sad this location is closed. We’ve been back since our first visit and my dog did so well with these vets. She let them trim her nails which usually is not easy. They did it in under 5 minutes. I honestly don’t know where we’re going to go now. I wish I knew where the vets were going to be working.

Original: My corgi just had her first visit here today. She usually has so much anxiety when going to the vet. They let me stay by her side the entire time. All the techs were so sweet and made her feel really comfortable. We will absolutely be back! They got her in the same day without any hassle. Not to mention how reasonably priced their services are. We got her microchipped as well. And paid half the total amount quoted by other vets. Probably our best Vet experience so far.“

“We have been using Hickory Kennels since our dog was a puppy. Now he's a 3 year old and 94 pounds, but still very much puppy.

Hickory Kennels does a wonderful job of treating our dog like his family, and he can definitely be a high energy handful. The staff are wonderful and always so helpful in scheduling and communication. They have even been accommodating when I needed to change or forgot to schedule a stay.

“Dr Scacia and Dr Gibson have both been very nice. My dog had leg surgery and everything went well. I'm back today to have stitches removed and I would have prefered to go in with my dog. It's rediculous. Time to move on from the masks that DO NOT prevent covid. It will all come out eventually. If you believe they work then people should be able to come in. Swan Creek and Churchville allow u in. U just wait in your car til your appt time. This is just very annoying and I'm over it! No one did this with the flu. That causes death also. Other then this it is a great veterinary clinic!“

“I've been going here for years, and have been seeing Dr. Mark Wright maybe since the late '90's or early 2000's (I can't recall) but it's been a long time. Dr. Mark took great care of my dobermans, and our Chessies.We recently had our boy Grizz in because something was very wrong (I assumed he hurt his back from a jump, but his gums were white too). We called on a Mon morning as soon as they opened, and they got us in about an hour later, and for that I'm forever grateful. I'd never met Dr. Moffa, and could tell that he was experienced in what he does as a veterinarian. He examined Grizz, took the x-ray, and shared his findings which weren't good. Fearing the worst (but remaining hopeful) he sent us to the ER in Bel Air. Unfortunately for us, Grizz laid in my arms and crossed the Rainbow Bridge that day. Dr. Moffa called me later that morning, to offer condolences. He was genuinely sorry, from one human to another, and I just think that is something wonderful. Thank you Dr. Moffa for your kindness and empathy at such a difficult time.We even received a sympathy card from the team at Edgewood Vet Hospital. These little things mean so much. Thank you all.“

Both Dr. Keys and Dr. Meadows are the most professional, compassionate, talented veterinarians I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I have utilized their services for both my horse and my dog; for routine procedures to advanced surgeries. Animal care and welfare is their number one priority pre-procedure, during the procedure, and with the addition of extremely thorough follow up inquiries. “The owners are so very responsive and if it weren’t for their quick responses and care, my cat wouldn’t have had the outcome she did. They were able to detect cancer after two visits and give the diagnosis within a few days after the ultrasound. She passed away peacefully at home but if it weren’t for them, she’d be very sick still. I highly recommend for the care and the fair cost of everything.“
