I've been bringing my clothes to Chevy Chase Valet and consulting with the owner John about the best way to clean this or that garment for probably more than five years now. I consider myself very picky. John's work is excellent. And I always have a congenial conversation when I go. It's the way things used to be, when you could count on excellent customer service at shops that knew you by name and did everything they could to meet your needs.
