My Grandmother's, Aunt and Grandfather are buried here. Its a beautiful place. I was having trouble locating them today and when I asked the older woman behind the desk for help she completely ignored me and did not say anything even though she was right infront of me. I had to wait for the gentlemen to come in and assist me. He was very kind and helpful. It just leaves a bad taste in my mouth when I am brushed off like an annoying person when asking for assistance finding deceased loved ones.
03/05/2025- I attended a burial for a dear friend. I had seen this cemetery but never really thought about it. The service was in the chapel area around 10:30 am, the flag was given to the son, there were a small number of family and friends in attendance. The casket was then rolled out towards the burial grounds. No horns were played. No military processional. No lowering of the casket into the ground. It’s was cold outside and it felt sad. “I’ll Miss you , my buddy”. His eye is on the sparrow. R.I.P., Clarence “Pete” Hicks( nickname EZY Smooth, bass player and band leader of the Legendary Smooth Band-DC. * Thank you for your service.
This is a 5 STAR Cemetery! I cannot understand why any person would have anything negative to say. The Staff and Ground Personnel do their jobs Extremely Well. I live very close to the cemetery and my family and friends are there. I visit several times a year. The grounds are very well kept and the personnel do a Fantastic job in explaining the dos and don’t. PLEASE PEOPLE don’t feed into the NEGATIVE Ratings.
