“My first appointment with SMMG was last September in the Camp Springs Office, I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and let me tell you, this office of professional Staff was on it 1000%!!! Dr. Salman, Dr. Washington, Ms. Nicole Torain and the rest of the staff was knowledgeable, helpful, caring and understanding to my needs. “I can't say enough good things about Dr. Cestare and his whole team. This was my second injection for back pain. He is the only pain management doctor who allowed me to be sedated. The whole team at the Brandywine surgical center were kind, professional and compassionate. My appointment was at 9:30, I was promptly escorted in the back, my procedure was scheduled for 11:00 but I was seen at 10:30. Everyone explained their portion of the procedure in great detail. “Very grateful for this service to the community! Makes it easy to get tested together with a new partner for ease of mind :)Communication was a bit lacking, not in a way that was a mega problem for me. We weren't told how long the wait would be, but I think we were seen maybe 30 minutes after getting there? And I was given a rapid finger prick test for HIV that gave results right away. But afterward I peed in a cup, got a mouth swab, and had blood drawn, and I wasn't told what all those were for. I'm assuming it was gonorrhea and chlamydia, but usually it's either urine or blood draw not both? But I'm not mad at it! I appreciate how thorough they are :)Results come in through the Healthvana portal, which is appreciated. I know some places will just call only if results are positive, and don't reach out at all if negative. So having it in a portal is just another layer of peace of mind :)“

“Considering they’ve taken the profit motive away and attempt to pay their staff a living wage ya gotta give this to them.I’ve been coming here for years (over 10 to be exact) and I’ve dealt with the good and the not so good. Things are at an all time high, they weathered the pandemic (and still provided prescriptions) and continue to serve an underserved community. Their initial stake was for HIV positive patients, however they serve all communities including folks like me on MedicaidThank you AHF for your place in the communitu“
