“I was lucky someone canceled with Jen, and I was able to get a cut, color, and Olaplex treatment a few days after I called. She was great! We talked about what I was thinking. She listened very well and answered all questions. She let me know how my color would be a commitment and let me know how things would go with what I have in mind for the future. I've never had someone inform me of everything to help me make the best decision, so that was very much appreciated. Highly recommend her!“

“Loretta is really excellent. I got a cut for my short, natural, curly hair. My hair is very thick and many barbers struggle to get the length and shape right. Loretta was great - she asked me how I wanted it and checked with me throughout so that she did not cut any area too short (which many do). It’s perfect! I highly recommend!!!!“

“I’ve been here a couple times now and got my nails done by Mini today. It was a great experience! You can tell she is highly skilled and very efficient - I got dip removal, tips, and dip powder in no time. You can tell Mini loves her job, she is extremely attentive to her clients and very meticulous with her work. I made an appointment and when I got there, I was seated right away which sadly doesn’t happen at many salons in Columbia/Ellicott City so I am really grateful to have found a place like this. I’ve never had to wait more than a few minutes here - even as a walk-in. The salon is bright and airy, clean, there’s a big screen tv with captioning (I watched the show 9-1-1 lol), and a pretty awesome r&b and pop playlist in the background. And I noticed some sterilization equipment which I was happy to see. There’s lots of overflow parking so no worries about looking for a spot either. So today I got French ombré dip powder nails, and they turned out so lovely! I am super happy with them! Thank you so much!“

“My experience the first time coming into Kuku's, was transformative. I came in just to get some hair oil and shampoo, and left with a buddy?. I don't know how it happened, but Kuku and I ended up discussing everything about life, and I was hooked. It's the only place I consider getting products from for hair, (unless I happen to be at a pop-up and I want to support a new start-up entrepreneur). Kuku is SO cool and down to earth. I hadn't found the right cut to get the lift and shape I wanted until Lucy cut my hair. That was the first time that the lift and coverage held without product until it was time to refresh.
