“Our unit was scheduled for a routine check by another company about 2-3 months ago.
I was told I need new capacitor, new contactor, and the compressor may go bad soon, and it will be about $3000 plus, (it is the old style?) and the system is 10 years old or more, we may as well replace it, for around $14,000.
Then later on there was not enough cold air from the vent to cool the house sufficiently.
We call Ocean Breeze for the second opinion, Brian T. checked it out and he found system shutdown periodically from poorly drained condensation pipe. The AC is working great now.

“Marc came out to help me with my sump pump today. Unfortunately in the winter they freeze, the pressure built on mine and backed into the basement. Marc cleaned everything and cleared the debris from the pit. He replaced the valve with one that will make it easier to manage the winter weather. He’s always courteous, kind and helpful. Less than an hour later, they restored A/C service to my home. Signed up for their bi-annual preventive maintenance agreement, Danielle in Customer Service was prompt, polite and courteous in setting up the plan and scheduling the technician to come out for our first maintenance visit. Technician did a very thorough job and even offered some guidance on keeping my HVAC operating efficiently. Overall very pleased with Custom Mechanical's service and highly recommend them.“

“These guys are the best! We have a neighbor who did a lot of research and comparisons for repairs and replacement of a heat pump. He hired Engle & Co. We followed his lead and have become a loyal customer. We asked them to repair a heat pump in the heat of summer, replace that old heat pump and air handler just before the heating season and everything has been top-notch. My husband purchased and installed our own wifi thermostat sometime afterwards. Engle was called back because our A/C seemed to be faulty. They discovered the fault was ours. Good experience with Coty Bailey from Custom Mechanical. Had several small plumbing jobs that I needed help with; outside hose bib leaking, Kohler shower control leaking, installing warm water recirculating pump. Coty called about 15 mins out to advise he was on the way. He arrived and I briefed him on what needed done and he set to work without hesitation. He installed a new Kohler shower valve, a new outside hose bib and installed a recirculating pump that I had from a previous install as well as new hoses on my washer. Coty worked diligently on each task and also installed a small shelf to hold the recirculating pump on the back wall of the bathroom vanity. His work involved being down on the floor working under the vanity, crawling under the house to remove the old hose bib and reinstall the new one and standing to replace the shower valve. He carried a backpack with most tools he needed for each task and spent little time going back to the truck for tools or supplies. All work completed successfully.“
