We are so thrilled with Meridian Homes and our beautiful renovations! After our original contractor quit on our project before construction began, we met with Michael Lerner. From the first conversation, Michael put us at ease, answered all of our questions, and communicated honestly about expectations. We trusted Michael’s knowledge and expertise in making decisions about various parts of the project. Michael even accompanied us in choosing fixtures and countertops and gave great advice. Throughout the planning and renovation process, Michael and our project manager, Carter, adapted seamlessly to changes and communicated promptly at every stage. Every worker and subcontractor was professional and polite. As we lived in our home during construction, the crews all cleaned well at the end of each day. Meridian largely completed our project weeks earlier than expected. Follow-up for punch-out items has been great. Best of all, we love our “new” first floor and are grateful for the outstanding work by Meridian.

We have used Meridian Homes for renovations since we moved in 2 years ago. One major renovation was the creation of a garage gym, that required lowering the concrete floor as well as creation of a downstairs home office that required the construction of a staircase to access a downstairs bedroom. In my mind renovations that required outside of the box thinking. Michael was fantastic with understanding what we visualized and was able to visualize a plan when there was only a problem without a solution. The estimates were very accurate. His team is fantastic- from the project managers to the in-house labor to subcontractors. Our dogs were always happy to see them as was our daughter (she was sad when the job was finished). They probably don’t want me setting this expectation, but when we had some plumbing emergencies, Michael and his guys were there to help fix the problem that day- help diagnose the issue and provide guidance on what we needed to do immediately to minimize the water damage. He also was able to tell us what we needed to do immediately to restore the house to its normal state- given his experience with these types of issues previously. Meridian’s quality of work is terrific. Although this did not happen frequently, there was no fear to redo something if it was not done to Michael and his team's standards. They did an excellent job and did not require any micromanaging on our part. The team is meticulous in terms of daily clean-up and preparation for the job… There wasn’t a tool scrap or piece of dust left by the end of the job. Were they the cheapest contractors in the area? No, but in my experience in this area, you get what you pay for. They are by far the best in terms of execution, no hassle, easy to work with, great outcomes etc. We will not use anyone but them in the future for further renovations, repairs or when it is time to build a house.

Our journey with Meridian Homes started when we began interviewing a handful of local homebuilders prior to even finding a lot on which to build. We found in Meridian Homes a homebuilder with a longstanding and excellent reputation in the market, who offered a very personalized experience, and who cared deeply about the quality of their product. From the outset, we felt at ease with the company’s co-founder, Michael Lerner, who spent considerable time with us searching for the right location in which to build. Our search led us to numerous vacant lots and tear-down homes for sale. Michael was very honest in his assessment of each opportunity we brought to him, offering us his opinions on each site’s selling points and/or shortcomings. We finally found a tear-down home in a great location, and with Michael’s enthusiastic approval, we moved forward with buying it. Having never been through the process of knocking down an existing home and building a new one, we needed guidance. Meridian Homes went out of their way to assist us in closing on the existing home, arranging construction financing, employing a deconstruction firm to capture tax benefits, and selecting an architect. Meridian met jointly with our architect on numerous occasions to make sure our new home had the features and floorplan that we desired, while oftentimes coming up with creative, cost-effective solutions with our architect to keep us within our budget. As the process unfolded, we felt fortunate to have chosen Meridian. They really do put quality of construction first and foremost and were transparent in their recordkeeping at every step of the way. Meridian was also especially helpful in prioritizing the decisions we needed to make at any point in time, which brought us peace of mind in what could have been a stressful endeavor. Following the completion of our new home, Meridian remained very much involved in making sure we were satisfied with the finished product. Seeing how much pride they take in making sure the product exceeds their customers’ expectations really validated our decision to choose Meridian Homes. We would recommend Meridian to anyone searching for a custom homebuilder. Their service, attention to detail, and passion for building high quality homes are second to none. We absolutely love our new home!!
