Dr. Weitz never told me that my daughter has difficult prescription. After the initial consulting/visit, he promised a positive result. That was why I trusted my daughter's eyes in his hands. Nearsighted is not a disease, and Ortho-k is not the only solution. Ortho-k is not fit for everyone, and that is why there is an initial screening/visit before the treatment. If Dr. Weitz told me earlier and honestly, I would not start or I could stop earlier. Dr. Weitz checked my daughter's eyes regularly since 2014 Feb. and he was the first expert noticed the eye irritation. However, no diagnosis, no treatment at all. Dr. Weitz has consistently earned 5 stars in the years that I have been his patient, but the store (myeyedr) gets many, many fewer stars. My family has been going to Dr. Weitz since 1997. He has stayed on top of the new technology, and embraced the orthokeratology when it proved itself. Essentially, you wear a lens at night to reshape your retina, and enjoy much better vision during the day without lenses. Safer than Lasik, reversible, and less expensive. I got Ortho-K lenses about five years ago, and have been using them ever since. But he's a great optometrist for any problem - glasses, contacts, etc. He's no longer at the For Eyes office in Wisconsin; now he's at My Eye Doctor on Woodmont.
