I had a really good pre-op appointment at this location on 2/12. I've been fairly impressed with the University of MD facilities thus far, and this place was no different...well, perhaps it was more confusing to navigate than some of the others, but no big deal. It's very clean in there, at least the first and fourth floors were. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The nurse who did my pre-op was nice AND efficient, which is one of the best combos IMO. Her examination of me was top notch. Before I knew it, she was sending me down to the lab for bloodwork. This is where my confusion set it. University of Maryland Midtown campus previously was known as Maryland General Hospital. Currently, there is a lot of renovations and expansions going on. As most hospitals in the country, its staff is tiredly fighting COVID-19. Besides the main hospital, the complex offers various services in its multiple buildings and has a full-staffed pharmacy.
