“Christian Holmes is simply the best stylist for curly hair that I've experienced. I've lived in NYC, Washington DC, and other cities, and Christian has given me my favorite haircuts that best fit my hair and my face shape. He cut my hair years ago, and when I moved back to Baltimore I searched for him and was delighted to find he opened his own studio. He spends time with you to understand what you want, and designs a cut based on what you want and what your unique curls do. I have soft, fine curls that tend to get weighed down with the wrong cut or with time. He added the perfect layers and cut and styled my hair in such a way that I came out with beautifully bouncy, alive curls. He also has a killer playlist and just a super friendly overall vibe. “I had a cut and color that I didn’t care for at a different salon. I then tried to “fix” it by putting a color depositing mask over it. I didn’t like that either. ?Enter Donnie.I was able to get an appointment very fast. He did a test strip to make sure of the best way to lift the color. He was open that it would be a two appointment process to completely get rid of the fashion color. He was able to blend in what was left of that color with what he did. I’m amazed at what he was able to accomplish. He then gave me the perfect hair cut. Also, VERY reasonably priced.Pictures to come later.“

“I first came across Define when looking for a new hair stylist for my daughters and I. I moved to MD from out of state last year and had no found a place that could meet our expectations. We had a horrible experience at another place and were nervous about trying somewhere new. However- the minute we walked into the salon for my daughters hair appointment, we were greeted with a new customer bag full of goodies, chocolate and also a buy one get one free product sale since it was our first time.

Our hair stylist is Sierra and she did an ABSOLUTELY amazing job on our daughter. Being Puerto Rican and Mexican - our hair is very course and naturally curly- so I was nervous about whether or not she would know how to deal or manage our hair while blow crying it. (Often times in previous experiences our hair always comes out puffy and frizzy because the hair stylist doesn’t really know how to style our type of hair) however - sierra did an AMAZING job and my daughters hair came out 10/10. Right then and there I booked for myself and I as well came out extremely happy with my cut and layers. I cannot recommend this place enough. We finally found our place. I suffer very bad from anxiety and it had been almost two years since I had step foot in a salon and Sierra and the front desk made me feel so comfortable and at home.

I spoke with the owner, Shelly, who was able to fit me in the next day for a color correction with the insanely talented KD. They truly went above and beyond to make my visit comfortable, reassuring, and educational. KD is not only a color wizard, but fantastic teacher as well! I came in with an uneven chop job and bad highlights, and left with a stunning multidimensional brunette shag. Words cannot express how happy I am with their amazing customer service, expertise, and compassion. Hands down the best salon in Baltimore and I would rate them a million stars if I could!“

When I called I spoke with Joe she explained to me that she couldn't give me a exact price but she could give me a starting price and that it goes up depending on my length and thickness and if they had to use a toner to get the blonde that i asked for .which was very helpful someplace start at 200 per hour for what i wanted.she was very knowledgeable and she got me in. Virginia works magic and is fantastic at what she does. The salon is very welcoming ,small mom & pop shop. Conversation was good,environment & work was great, it was exactly what i wanted .
