“Best Braider hands down in Baltimore. I just combed my locs out and decided to get braids Ms. Isha was so gentle on my hair and not only that all my parts are the same size and neat. I moved to Baltimore two years ago and needed to find a new stylist. I wanted a salon I could walk to from my apartment, and it’s safe to say I got incredibly lucky when I stumbled upon Dandelion. The salon itself is calming, stylish, and chic, with a special warmth that’s created by Aubrey, Molly (and now Selina).

I always look forward to my appointments because I know I’m in for a treat. From the moment I walk in, I’m greeted with a smile and a “how are ya.” Molly and Aubrey go above and beyond to make sure you’re cared for, whether that’s offering a snack, a drink (alcoholic or nonalcoholic), or a relaxing head massage at the bowl. Their customer service is 10/10.

Beyond the incredible atmosphere, Aubrey’s skill as a hairstylist is top-notch. She’s always open to trying whatever I have in mind and somehow makes it even better than I imagined. I always feel confident and cared for when I’m in her chair. And shoutout to Molly, who is always so friendly, welcoming, and just as talented as her BFF Aubrey. I love the conversations that circulate throughout the salon—I always leave with some kind of knowledge. (Did you know all Skittles taste the same? ?)

“I have had several appointments in the past couple of years with Sophia, and she is absolutely amazing and a true master of her work. My first appointment with her was for a haircut (layered cut), which she did a great job and at the same time, I had a good chat with her about the possibility of trying some subtle highlights on my hair. I was completely new to the world of hair colors, and she gave a really good primer on things that I could try. I got partial highlights in my next appointment with her and I was totally blown away with her work. I have been a regular customer here and would highly recommend this place. “The Beehive I think for the average woman and some men, it's important and hard to find that hairdresser/salon that gets you and where you feel comfortable. For my husband, it could be Great Clips or any average place. For people like my sister and I that have this crazy, like really crazy, curly hair and when you grew up in the 80s, it was a painstaking, traumatizing (and I'm not joking) search to find that hairdresser that gets you and your hair. It took me 40 years to find someone that kind of got my hair, and another 5 to find someone and a Salon, that FINALLY got it! Someone that didn't hesitate and dove right in and made my hair gorgeous! The coloring, her straightening it with beachy waves has been a, seriously, life-changing thing for me. I think, ok we joke, that Kimberly has to do an arm workout before I get there, however, it is my favorite appointment and I look forward to it, to the point that my husband has to get the scoop afterwards. The beauty of The Beehive is that you walk in there, and you feel like you're with friends. Kim's got my hair, I trust her, it looks great every time, but we talk as well.. About TV shows, about our lives, we keep tabs on what's happening. And then, you've got Brenda, who also has a heart of gold. The two of them are the dynamic duo. They have such good hearts and senses of humor. I can't leave the place without talking to both of them, and feel so much better leaving. It's my favorite hive to bee in.“

“I’ve never written a Google review before but had to shout out Corbin today. I’ve been coming to this salon for years; it is beautiful, and the staff are kind, prompt, and professional. They treat their customers like family. Today’s example: Eric squeezed me in for a very last minute appointment this morning as I had to stay home with my sick baby yesterday (when I was initially scheduled.) I was running late due to unforeseen road closures for a bike race that had large chunks of Falls Rd, Northern Parkway, and Roland blocked off. What a nightmare….anyways, I roll in totally frazzled with my baby in tow, and the staff at Corbin proceeds to care for me and my one-year old daughter. They doted on her, excused her trail of Cheerios on their pristine floor, gave her toys, etc. I never once felt like an inconvenience for bringing her. I also had not had time for breakfast and was feeling lightheaded so ordered something from Kneads, and darling Eric picked it up for me. just wow…..the staff are truly the best.
I haven’t even mentioned Fatima, who does an impeccable job cutting and coloring my difficult curly hair every time. Thank you, Corbin and staff! I adore you!“

“I had the absolute best experience at this salon! Courtney was amazing—so friendly, knowledgeable, and made me feel completely at ease, like I was catching up with an old friend. She really took her time with my cut and didn’t rush at all, which I truly appreciated. I have pin-straight Asian hair, and it’s often difficult to find someone who really understands how to cut it well, but she nailed it! She even made sure I felt comfortable asking her to blend out one side of my hair towards the end, and she did it perfectly. I’m beyond happy with the results.
