I really wish that there was a way for me to post this review in the food category because I'm writing this review about the dinners that are served here every Friday. First of all, BOOOOOO to my hometown of Annapolis, MD for having no access to a Soul Food restaurant. As a result, we lovers of fried, baked, slow-cooked, down home goodness are forced to seek out local churches and fraternal organizations which are selling dinners to raise money for whatever noble cause. If you love fried chicken and pork chops; mac n' cheese and some kinda green as much as I do, then I recommend a trip down Forest Drive to Cook-Pinckney Post 141. They typically serve from 11 am til who knows when and have the requisite fried chicken and for those who feel the need, partake in some Pig Feet and chittlins (I don't know what chiterlings are). I typically get chicken or chops with mac and either greens or sweet potatoes. Unlike most church and civic groups who precook their fried foods, these guy cook your food to order. Fish, chicken, chops and even crab cakes are guaranteed to be hot when finally get home and open that styrofoam box of home cooked goodness. If you can't wait, there are tables available for you to eat your meal there. They also have sandwiches available, which are a great deal if you aren't in need of the sides. Dinners range from $10 - $14 (the crabcake) and the selection of mains and sides are good. So if you need to cure your soul food fix, support the American Legion Post 141 on Fridays and you'll be very satisfied
