They have been very professional; responsive and helpful with my pets. My cat recently passed away after an 10 month battle with Kidney disease. I have nothing but positive reviews for Chadwell , and specifically Dr Menger. Very grateful for them.
Just the best place I take my 2 turtles here and care and cost are always amazing. I've also had to bring 2 wild birds in who were hurt and they're always fantastic (and ask for a very reasonable and OPTIONAL donation for supporting the wildlife work). Everyone here is always so lovely
I was really disappointed with Chadwell Animal Hospital. We took our Guinea pig there because he was lethargic and not eating for a day or two. We thought that given Guinea pigs' common illness around nutrition, we were just looking for honesty from a vet about whether we should pay to let him pass peacefully and soon instead of suffering We were very grateful to find Chadwell because they sounded optimistic on the phone about his symptoms as long as he is seen right away. We went that same night and got him checked out by the vet. My wife and I told the vet that if they aren't confident in the medicines and food they had, we need to know because we don't want him to continue to suffer to only pass later. They insisted on multiple radiology screenings and even after completing them, insisted we purchase medicines and food from them. After $360+ he ended up passing away only hours after leaving the vet. I understand the need to be optimistic, but in hindsight, Chadwell should not have pushed medicines and screenings on us when our pet was in the shape he was in. I was disappointed. I would just ask that the vets try to avoid pushing medicine if there's a very low chance of anything working unless the owners accept those chances. For us, the vet expressed a good chance of recovery. (We also couldn't get a vet on the phone for 4 hours the next morning)
