November 1, 2021 I contacted them to ask if they had a copy of Mazy Star - So Tonight That I May See. Reply was no but they would keep an eye out for it. Fast forward to today Nov 10, 2022 I get an email saying a copy came in and was I still wanting it. Needless to say it is now on way to me. This is service beyond expectations. I used to shop here when I was doing some consulting in Winnipeg. Love the store and the staff are fantastic. I will definitely continue with future purchases from them.
I may be a bit bias as I have been going to Into the Music since I was a little kid (The original Osborne store) Some of the original staff helped shape some of my musical tastes growing up. I had not been in the new store much in recent years due to Covid etc. Maybe been in there a few times since they rearranged the store to the current lay out but not much. I recently inherited my father's record collection. I had called around and had a few people come and look at the collection. Some were very respectful, others just came across as pushy salesmen. One I believe even ripped my dad off just before he passed. Greg however was on a whole another level. He came in and spent most of the day going thru stuff. Went into great detail explaining his breakdowns on what he was willing to pay, and offered way more than anyone else. He also gave me some store credit so I could get some fun stuff for myself as well. He also taught me a few things about both my father's and my own collection. Greg clearly cares about what he does. It is just something rare to see in this day and age. It was very hard for me to get rid of this collection (of course I kept a ton as well) as it was such an important part of my dad's life...he truly was a vinyl junkie. It was nice to see someone give the respect to the collection it deserved. On a side note my dad was in that store so often...that is him on the store's cover photo.
