Yesterday I visited this medical facility for help with a very sore shoulder that has been bothering me for months. I was impressed again by efficiency and competence of everyone I met. I was in and out in 75 minutes, including X-rays and a consultation after the X-rays were taken. I was diagnosed, provided with a plan for care, and a prescription (which has already almost eliminated the pain). Everyone was pleasant and professional, from the woman at the front desk, to the person who checks for insurance coverage at the urgent care desk, to the first nurse, and finally to the nurse practitioner. The last time I sought urgent care at the largest boston hospital I was there for 5.5 hours and received 10 minutes of medical care. I left when they shut off the lights and the receptionist walked out at the end of the day. I am so grateful for the care I have received at WHFMC.

I'm really surprised at the bad reviews since I have had nothing but good experiences here. They're organized, competent and everyone has been friendly. I've been here at least three times.

Just left their urgent care department due to back pain from a nasty fall on black ice on Friday. The nurse practitioner stated the source of the pain was the back of my ribs and I had x rays. Results showed no fracture and they concluded I strained my back. The nurse practitioner offered to prescribe me muscle relaxers for the pain and asked if I wanted a note for work. I conveyed to her that I would like to try going to work but was concerned about pain management as my job requires manual labor. She stated the muscle relaxers would make me tired and I should continue taking ibuprofen as I have been and give it 7 days. I then asked if there was a type of back support...read full review
