“Athanas Construction is run by Nick Athanas who does general contracting. I have used Athanas Construction twice in the last year. Once to replace my roof, and again to change the exterior trim on a large rotting window frame.While Athanas Construction is located in the South Shore (Weymouth), they are willing and able to come into Boston, which is a huge plus in my book, since I live in Roslindale which is not easily accessibe to any major highway.I found the service to be great. To begin with, the communication is fast and clear. Nick Athanas will get back to me by phone, email, or text. He is clear about when he is coming, what he will be working on, how much it will cost, and he let's me know the schedule in advance. If he has a schedule change, he also let's me know in advance. He uses a simple but effective online app called Joist to bill me which shows how much I have paid so far, and how much I owe.Second, the Athanas team does a great job. For both jobs that I ordered, the final product was solidly built and looks great. I am a happy customer.Finally, while it's not cheap, I find Athanas pricing to be very reasonable and more affordable than other companies. When I was pricing my new roof, I talked with 4 different companies, and Athanas estimate came in at the lowest price. Furthermore, Nick is willing to discuss options to keep costs low, which some contractors won't do.I truly recommend Athanas Construction for any contracting work in the Boston area.“
