About Golden Nozzle Car Wash
Golden Nozzle Car Wash is a well-established business with a long history in the region. Founded in the 1970s, the chain has become the gold standard for car care in Western Massachusetts and Connecticut. The business offers a monthly Unlimited Wash Pass program, launched in 2008, which allows members to enjoy unlimited car washes at any Golden Nozzle location in five New England states. Customers praise the free vacuum service, citing its powerful suction and cleanliness. However, some members have noticed a decline in the quality of washes, with the car only being sprayed with soap at the front windshield, rather than a thorough clean. On the other hand, the vacuum service has improved since the pandemic, with some customers noting its improved performance. Staff have also received mixed reviews, with one employee being described as having an attitude towards a customer, threatening to cancel their subscription due to a loose sticker. Customers have expressed concerns about the lack of thorough undercarriage washing, with some reporting that the underside was left dry after the wash. Additionally, some customers have noticed that certain areas, such as the gaps and cracks between the emblems and roof rack, are not being properly addressed by the wash. There have also been reports of the wash damaging windshield wipers. Despite these issues, the majority of customers with a monthly subscription are hoping that the car wash will return to its previous standards, with the car being sprayed with soap all around, and the vacuum service continuing to improve.
My review is a bit late. I went to Golden Nozzle because it was really close to where I live. It was around April and roads were starting to be clear of salt, so I thought I'd have the undercarriage washed to remove any remaining salt. After the wash, I checked the underside and was disappointed that it was dry. I've gone through a couple of other car wash places and I can tell that they actually wash the undercarriage.
Also not the perfect wash, some parts near the side mirrors were untouched.
It never cleans the gaps the cracks between the emblems cracks between the roof rack it needs a high pressure spray not just a thing that gets a drizzle on it and it broke my windshield wiper and it took a little piece off the nut
I have a monthly subscription but I swear before that they’d at least spray the car with soap all around but now I feel as if they only spray a bit at the front windshield that’s it. The vacuums work way better than what they used to before the pandemic and I’m really hoping that they contribute to do so. I’m also hoping that they start spraying that car with the soap as they should to get the benefit of the wash before going elsewhere.
