“This review is of MGH WEST, also known as Massachusetts General Hospital WEST, at 40 Second Avenue, Waltham. MGH West is a spacious bank of two, multi-story buildings that include doctor's offices, specialty clinics, radiology and other related services, and Ambulatory Surgery Center (Same Day Surgery Center). There are no in-patient beds at MGH West, and there is no Emergency Department or Urgent Care Center at MGH West. So, best you not be confused. Also best that you know in advance of your arrival by car, which building you are going to, the BLUE Building or the GREEN Building, as each has their own indoor parking lot. It's possible to cross between buildings, in an indoor pedestrian tunnel, but that's a bit of a nuisance, so ideally, best you know prior to your arrival, to park in the Blue Building garage or the Green Building garage. Parking is free (I should say factored into the costs of your care, and not subject to an additional charge). I'm thinking that it's been 20 years since I was last at MGH WEST, and I was struck, on this visit, how many primary care and specialty services MGH now has at MGH West, and in the Boston West suburbs. What a privilege for someone who lives west of Boston, who does not want to drive to the main MGH campus in Boston, for their care, to be able to see the same MGH Physician at MGH West, as at MGH Boston. It is a shame to hear on Boston TV and radio how UMASS Memorial Medical, LifeSpan, and Shields MRI are doing all that they can to prevent MGH from building similar facilities to MGH West in Westborough, Westwood, and Woburn, and bringing WORLD-CLASS MGH CARE to these areas of Massachusetts. My visit, today, to MGH West was for an MRI with IV contrast. The admissions process was quick, professional, and efficient. I was initially greeted by one Radiology Technologist, that quickly turned into a three Radiology Technologist effort, and these three Radiology Technologists worked together, like you'd expect of sophisticated, highly talented, unbelievably well synchronized, professional and compassionate health care professionals. I doubt that you'd find this level of care anywhere else in the western suburbs, it struck me as Signature MGH World Class Care. Once my procedure was done, I was greeted by a fond farewell, and I was ready to move on. 30 minutes of MRI banging was enough for me (thank God for ear plugs!). I don't know where the people at UMASS Memorial, LifeSpan, and Shields MRI get the audacity to try to sway Massachusetts government officials, under their pseudonym, "Coalition to Protect Community Care," to prevent MassGeneral Brigham from their plan to expand to Westborough, Westwood, and Woburn. This is the world of self-interests that we live in, like those of UMASS Memorial, LifeSpan, and Shields, hidden behind the façade of the "Coalition to Protect Community Care." Good Lord.“

“If you are very, very lucky, then Dr. Levine will take you on as a patient. He is an excellent orthodontist. Because of his experience, he identifies quickly what the teeth alignment issue is. He puts together a plan, and explains it clearly. Then he and his expert staff work as a team to install the braces. It's rare to see someone as committed as he is to health, as experienced, as friendly, as respectful, and as hard working as he is. I would easily recommend him to anyone.“

“One Medical is a very professional medical practice across the street from the Porter Square T Station. My doctor always makes me feel seen and heard. She goes out of her way for me. The front desk staff are really nice too. There's only one or two people waiting in the waiting room and the entire place is spotless. It's very easy to be seen by them. You call them up usually you can be seen the next day or the day after unlike CHA when you can't be seen for months. If you're thinking of getting out of CHA try One Medical. A step up.“

A few months after our initial appointment it was March of 2022, and I was ready to go. At that time I started working very closely with Zuzana, her incredible nurse who was by my side for the next 2 weeks walking me through the process. Zuzana and her colleagues were very quick to respond to my emails with questions or concerns and always had all the answers right away. Once the process begins, you are going into their office at NWH anywhere from 2-4 times a week for blood draws and ultrasounds. All the ultrasound technicians are great and be sure to get your blood drawn by Grace, she will make your day every time you see her.I felt really taken care of on an emotional and physical level which is what you want and what you need to get through this process. While dealing with challenging and serious health issues, Dr Wemple and his staff were able to see me quickly, get me a referral, work with the pharmacy, and get me all documentation I needed within 48 hours of my exam. “I have been going to Harvard Vanguard in Burlington for the last six years. Both myself and my kids have had very positive experiences with the medical professionals and staff here. I appreciate being able to use their app to communicate with the team, Book appointments, pay deductibles and complete electronic forms. I have leveraged the after hours consultations and even urgent cares located around the Boston area. We are now on our second primary care physician for the kids and although I still miss the original, Dr. Rosenquist who moved to one of their Boston proper locations, I am very thankful that Dr. Fung is so amazing!The only mediocre advice I have ever received from any of the staff was that I should carry all of my kids booster seats and car seats with me on an international trip. It's my fault for asking, as my conscience weighed on me that if something happened and they weren't using these safety devices that I would blame myself so I asked them for their opinion. And of course, they had to tell me based on best practice and US law so I took booster and car seats to Africa and didn't use any but the infant seat. Overall, the facility is clean and super convenient. Not only can we see our PCPs, but they have several specialists and pharmacy on site. Due to the net work of clinics, we can usually find an appointment during the same day and even over the weekends in the case of a critical issue. The only thing I would change about the appointment process is to bring back the coloring pages and crayons and the magnet for the table for the kids in the waiting area. The fish tank helps entertain but parents can use some help & coloring can be safely completed at a distance if need be.“
