“I cannot say enough good things about Weston Driving School. My daughter insisted we use them rather than other area driving schools, and I’m so glad we did. I was not on top of things, and by the time I got onto the calendar to book out my kid’s 12 sessions, there was nothing available. I texted the owner, Matt, who was also my daughter’s driving instructor, and he said to call in an hour and we’d work things out. And he did just that - we hung up with all her sessions booked. When we had conflicts along the way and had to make changes, it was never a huge problem. Matt also made the whole experience fun for my daughter, and the opposite of stressful for both of us. PLUS, on the day of the test (today - almost exactly 6 months from when she got her learner’s permit), HE drove my kid out to Worcester first thing in the morning because he likes the location and the testers. And right before the test, he ran through a mock test with her. Really an easy and wonderful experience.“

They explain things AMAZINGLY. in the 16 years I've been trying to get my license things finally made sense here. “Needed to do some refresher lessons after living in Boston for a while after moving from outside the US. Heman was a great instructor. Calm, encouraging, easy going. It could've been easier for me since I wasn't starting from scratch. But the whole process was fairly easy. $60/hour lessons and $160 for the test, which you did on a weekend instead of going through the RMV chaos in the week.“

If your ability to speak and understand English is limited, you may need an interpreter for the road test. You may also need someone to help translate during lessons as well to get the most out of your instruction.

Lucien is the owner of the school and his two daughters, Alexa and Shammah run communications/scheduling. Lucien and Alexa are instructors and from what I've heard Cory is a very professional and informative instructor who will prepare anyone for their road test.

Lucien and Alexa are sponsors and either will be in the backseat of the vehicle for the test. The test car is a newer Camry so the gas and breaks are sensitive. Upon arrival at the test site, Alexa is welcoming, helpful and effective at calming everyone's nerves. She had informed us about what the examiner was paying particular attention to that day and what they were failing drivers for. Once in the vehicle remember what you've been taught and do exactly what you're told! I was nervous but with Alexa's encouragement I was able to stay in control and pass with minimal issue.

Here is why I couldn't give them a full five stars. I did about 9 hours of driving with their new instructor Michael. I wanted an instructor who was casual and wouldn't be hard on me about making mistakes. I've had some prior experience on the road but had never taken a class and wasn't sure what to expect. Michael and I got along well and was impressed by my ability to control the steering wheel and navigate around the streets of Cambridge.

He is patient, encouraging and instilled in me the confidence and easy-to-understand technique he had for parallel parking. He noticed I struggled to straighten the steering wheel out and had me do it until I got it right.

However, more often then not it became a frequent occurrence that if I didn't have his full attention because of parking he would either be taking calls or already on the phone when he was picking me up. I had to tell him I already knew my hand signals. Michael never bothered to ask me but it's the first question on the road test. The day of my road test folks ahead of me were failing before leaving the parking lot because of that. Michael’s weakness is that he never asked questions. If you want to know something specific about the test or how to do something with the car you'll have to ask him first.

I had sent in a road test request on the 9th of June and by the next week I was hoping for some sort of confirmation. I knew it would take a couple of weeks for the test to be scheduled, as per typical DMV fashion but a message saying my request was received would of been comforting. I called the school to ask if my request was received and Lucien was very short with me; his answers serving little help. I called again the following Monday (the 20th) and he kept saying I should of already received a date for my test and became frustrated with me when I said I had not.

Alexa communicates almost strictly through text and with hundreds of messages coming in from customers. This lead to a miscommunication between us and instead of having a week to prepare for my road test I had a little over 24 hours to schedule one more class.

In conclusion Shammah Driving School has the best intentions for their students and for locals of the area it is a very easy environment to learn in. Their organization, professionalism at times and pricing could be better.“

“My daughter, Grace attended CS driving school during the pandemic when there was a shortage of driving instructors. As a result, scheduling the road lessons was especially challenging and my daughter's ability to get her license was dependent upon completing the road hours. I reached out to the owner, Anna and she personally scheduled the hours to make sure that Grace was able to complete her road hours quickly and helped us get her scheduled for her road test sooner. During that time I can honestly say that Anna went above and beyond the call of duty - she provided Grace with moral support and made her feel confident in herself behind the wheel and in life. I can't recommend this school enough - thank you Anna!“

“I have a driver’s license from Portugal, but wanted to get my license here as well, so I did not need a lot of lessons since I have driving experience. I purchased one lesson and the instructor was honestly weird. He was impatient and made some weird comments, he then realized I was getting upset and annoyed and completely changed tone and started being normal and nice. He was also listening to the news (Donald trump speaking) on his phone, which was weird. But overall, it was fine. The driving test went well, passed the first time which is what I wanted. If the instructor is the right fit, it should be fine. I’m only giving 4 stars
cause I passed quickly and that was my goal, but if it was for the instructor probably would be 2 stars.“
