“Last fall, my parents asked for my help to find some new-to-them gabbeh rugs (see tribal rugs from Iran and the surrounding region). It was a horrific experience, until we went to Silk Road Orientals in Acton. We searched high and low, going through numerous rug shops in Metro Boston and Southern New Hampshire. Typically what we would find is either a really ugly rug at a reasonable price or a really beautiful rug superbly over priced... We're talking in excess of $7,000. Our budget was about $1,200. Within 15 minutes, I unfortunately found 3 rugs which fit the bill for my parents. And they price we were given was amazing, so amazing we actually went home with all three rugs.
