Planet Fitness is a fitness center that aims to provide a welcoming and energetic environment for its members. With over 2,400 locations, the brand promises "Big Fitness Energy™," helping customers overcome the "down-and-ugh feeling of too little pep and not enough steps." While the staff is generally described as very nice and friendly, some reviews mention issues with equipment maintenance and repair. Several machines, including stair masters and stationary bikes, have been out of service for long periods, with some machines remaining broken for months. Customers often find the workout areas, especially the abs and stretching zones, crowded and tight, which can make exercising less comfortable. The facilities are often in large strip mall venues, offering ample space for various workout areas. Many appreciate that the equipment is good overall, with a variety of exercise machines and some free weights, and they enjoy the clean, newer, and brighter facilities compared to other locations. The atmosphere is described as great, family-friendly, with staff providing positive energy and motivation. However, concerns about equipment maintenance and timely repairs have been expressed, impacting the overall experience.
No complaints about the facility itself - plenty of machines, generally clean, friendly staff - fine for the price point you're paying to have access to these things.
The entire class/training schedule that is online and on screens at the facility, however, is a lie. You can sign up for these offerings all you want, but there is no staff supporting those programs. Was bummed to learn that, but it sounds like this is not unique to this location.
Great gym the staff are always so friendly.The machine options are standard but for the abs and stretching area it's always so packed and tight as well there's always a random machine broken... There are 4 stair masters but only two works .
Overall equipment is good a verity of exercise machines with some free weights. Just frustrated with equipment maintenance and repair. Any machine that is out of service takes monthly to get repaired, recently a stationary bike went out of service. I left for Florida when I returned 2 months later still out of service now a second is out of service and third cup holder is broken off. Only 5 of these in gym so 40% out of service, now we pay an annual fee for maintenance! So I would expect we get something for our money like maintenance not just an extra fee to the business.
