Ioannis "Yanni" Karakostas, formerly of J&K Construction, recently started Oros Builders Inc. Yanni recently completed a total renovation of our kitchen. He was the general contractor. He oversaw the permitting process; supervised the plumber, electrician, floor installer; performed the demolition; attended to the delivery of items; installed the cabinets and backsplash; and took care of the countless other details needed for a successful project. He was neat, extremely attentive to detail, and carefully handled and moved our furniture and appliances during construction. He was very considerate of the other unit owners in our condo association. We did not receive any complaints. He was easy to reach by phone or text, he kept us informed each step of the process, and he involved us with all construction decisions. Our projects involved some delays due to Covid supply chain type issues, but none of these were due to Yanni. He was very prompt about moving forward as soon as our cabinets and appliances were obtained. He also worked well with our condo association manager during the permitting process and with our designer. He carefully orchestrated the synchronization of the various subcontractors to insure that the process moved forward in a well coordinated and timely fashion. He is very pleasant to work with. Much of the time we were not there on site while he was working, and we felt comfortable giving him the key to our condominium. We are grateful for the beautiful and very functional kitchen he constructed for us. When the project was completed, he arranged for our condo to be professionally cleaned. We will contact him in the future if we have other construction needs. We highly recommend him without reservation. A few photographs are attached.
