Bought a car battery and even got help with installation(they do not typically do it) I was really in a bind but this place came through for me. the other car place in town said they could not install a battery since there was ony the one guy behind the counter( in reality there were three in the store all together) got it for a great price as well. “I am a first time customer and Dom and the rest of the staff were very welcoming and fun to talk with. I hadn't had a haircut in over a year before going to Haven and I gave Dom a blank canvas to work with. He and I discussed some options and what I was and wasn't looking for and he did a great job giving me a cut that my fiance loves. “Ask for Essen. He not only goes out of his way but is a great conversationalist . I have been going to so many places around Medford/somerville and he was the only one who spoke quite a bit making me feel that the place is MY PLACE. It was clean and his willingness to know what i want was admirable. He made me feel at home right away. Now about the cut, he was bang on. He took time to understand as it was my first time and definitely tried his best to accommodate and explain the pros and cons before he cut. I loved the fact that he also corrected my understanding surrounding the fades and also lined my stach (a light trim) for free as he is a self declared perfectionist. Haha I am glad, i feel like i finally found my place for a haircut 5 mins walk from my home.“

“Andrew has been an absolute superstar! I'm often looking to completely change my hairstyle and he's met those requests with excitement instead of apprehension. He's also done a great job with both hair transitions he's worked on with me! To be honest I can't afford his haircuts but I keep going to him because he's the only person in the city that I trust with non-standard hairstyles across the gender spectrum.

Edit: My last couple haircuts have been quite disappointing. I tried to convince myself the haircuts were okay. But the lines in my hair were uneven both times and I asked for layers both times and he cut my hair all to the same length both times. Since he didn't give me layers the first time, I asked him to cut my hair short if he needed to for layers the second time around. This time again he cut my hair all to one length, but this time shorter. I would trust him completely with masculine hairstyles but I don't think I'm ever going back for a hairstyle with any femme components. The last couple appointments also felt more rushed and like he didn't have the time or energy to spend on the haircut and just wanted it out of the way, so all in all, I'm probably on the lookout for a new hairstylist.. :(“
