the girl that wears the sodexo uniform gave me a gel mani service. she was rude and told me i have to book earlier in the day? this was years ago. i would not recommend going to that particular person. also the gel polish was super thick and looked bad in person.

A friend and I were looking for a new nail salon to try and decided to give Nailistix a try. I was in for a full acrylic set and a pedicure, and my friend was getting a gel manicure and a pedicure. I should probably make note that it wasn't my first acrylic set, not by a long shot. The interior of the salon is quite nicely decorated and spacious. The polish selection is definitely lacking. It took me a while to find a color I liked, merely due to not having very many options. Most of their polishes were gel, and the regular polish was mixed in making it unorganized. The nail tech that did my acrylic set.. well, lets just say it felt very rushed. I ended up with multiple cuts on my fingers, which she continued to attribute to my cuticles being dry. The cuts were from her filing the sides of my nails, and were mostly at the tip of my fingers. One of the cuts ended up being so painful I had to remove my nails a week later, and the cut became infected. My friends manicure was anything but that. She saw the same nail tech as I did. When all was said and done, she had polish all over her fingers and didn't even receive an actual manicure. The owner ended up comping her manicure which was certainly warranted. I received a message asking if I wanted to book in my next manicure, at which point I let the owner know of the infected finger and less than satisfactory set I never heard back. I will say that the pedicure I received was absolutely phenomenal and lasted for weeks. Thankfully it was a different tech than our nails.

Got gel nail polish! The polish was done incredibly well but it started chipping within a week. I'm not sure why the nail polish was chipping on the edges, for me it will always last 3 weeks, but I don't know what happened. The nail polish close to the base stayed on for a long time so I'm not sure why the tip chipped so quickly. The smell of nail polish was also very strong and gave me a headache. So, while the service was great, the nail polish needs to be better and so does the air quality!
