“So of course being here for only 4.5 years and having very FEW people that look like me, I would be hesitant to have someone do my brows. But the chic who does my locs (shout out to @cocoalocs) gave me the recommendation so I thought I’d give them a try. First off, I was greeted with a warm welcome. The aura of the place has to make me feel right. Second, they had some calming music playing but it wasn’t some crazy kind of music that made me feel like ? but just kind of like I could bob my head and my heart rate could slow down at the same time. Then I meet Kelly. Warm smile, but edgy. Cool but cautious. Let me dive in, but I’m careful not to scare you. I’m go as in as you let me. I liked it. Working in psychiatry, I got her and she got me. We kicked it off. She made me feel comfortable, told me what to expect. I told her fears, she calmed them and when she got started, I didn’t even know! If you’re asking yourself whether you should go to Beauty and the Brow and get ANYTHING done, I’m a NOLA girl and we don’t trust NOBODY and I’m telling you DON’T TRUST NOBODY ELSE!! “I had a total of 6 laser hair removal treatments in 2017. I couldn't be happier with the results. The six treatments minimized regrowth significantly to the point that I only have to shave my legs every 2-3 weeks. I read somewhere that most people need at least 9 treatments in order to get rid of all hair and have no regrowth. Like I said I did 6 and love that I can go longer without having to shave. In my case what grows back is very thin hairs(not coarse like before) and it's only certain patches not the entire legs. I would like to get more done some day to make it permanent.“
