“Moved to the beautiful town of Brewster MA on Cape Cod last year with my son. New school, new town and a post and beam home on 2 acres that just needed the right people and a lot of love. We had contractors lie, steal, and cheat us. One day Aleks came to our rock wall and skipped the stairs. This I later realized was significant. Climbed on down with authority and then we took a walk. I told her of all my whoes, anxieties and nightmares I had been dealing with. The guy who all his life had been trained to and thought he could foresee all the problems of a project with neck deep and drowning. She listened and said exactly the right things and I felt they came from the heart. She is kind, understanding, methodical, patient, sharp, organized, genuine and tactical. This is the 3rd rehab home my son and I have struggled through and I feel a great weight has been lifted. You would have to meet her to understand what I mean. “We engaged REEF to raze a crumbling cottage in the family and build a nice brand-new home and the experience met all expectations. The pre-construction engineering cost came in on the very low end of the estimate. Everything was done on time, zero issues or concerns from the lender's inspections or the town's inspections.

The construction itself was on time, right on budget, no surprises, no delays, and the expectations was set during the aftermath of COVID and volatile pricing of some construction materials due to supply chain issues. In the end it evened out as demand for construction was lower during rising interest rates.

Jim set the expectations and met them during the planning phase and spoke before the zoning and health boards to get us quickly approved. Sarah helped us with the fixtures and appliances, Matt with the construction process and mechanicals, Nick the project manager was there to give a response and work through logistical issues or questions.

REEF was up front with their pricing and there were no surprises. I'm sure you can find other builders that will provide slightly lower estimates if that's a game you're willing to play with a project of this size and scope. We have full confidence in the quality of the construction after having been in here a couple months after completion.

I would engage REEF again in any future projects.“

“After having rain leak down the inside of our bedroom windows, we had Replacements by Andersen examine the situation. They determined that the windows (a picture window with two side windows plus a huge half-circle window above them) needed to be replaced. The outside trim and wood associated with the windows had been rotted by the rain and they did not know for sure how far the damage extended under the siding or if it had gone into the interior of the house. Complicating matters were our very expensive custom-made shutters on the inside which would have to be removed and re-installed to fit the new windows without damaging them. After a considerable delay, Replacements by Andersen backed out because they felt they couldn’t handle the job.We then called McPhee and Associates, whom we had used to finish a basement 20 years earlier. Jon Phillips came over, assured us they could handle the job, and would take care of everything, from removing/replacing the windows, repairing, replacing and painting all damaged wood and siding, getting the shutters to fit perfectly on the new windows, painting the interior wall, to getting a cleaning service in when they were finished. They did a fabulous job on all of it. In addition to their fine workmanship, what perhaps impressed us even more was they way they addressed the few dings and carpet stains that were inevitable in any big job like this. They immediately called in experts who got things back to a pristine condition. These people are honest, accessible (they return calls immediately), and are very pleasant to work with.
