But more so I left always with and smile on my face as well as knowledge. What the man does for the community is amazing . Today he was beyond miserable in the chair and somehow he has an amazing haircut. Despite him being difficult the two gentleman there made sure they got the job done and done well! “I love this place - everyone feels welcome. It's a great family environment - I drive my dad and my toddler and infant all the way here. Serge always takes care of me and my two boys, gives me a meticulous cut before a date, or business trip. My dad normally gets a full groomed by Salomy. This shop has a family atmosphere. Most importantly the barbers are extremely professional, skilled, and punctual. The barbers have lots of patience especially with my toddler who has the shortest attention span. They’ll gladly put on a Netflix show and have lollipops on hand.“

“I’ve been up and down the south shore at many different barbershops and none compare to this one. Every time I come in to The Modern Barbershop I’m greeted kindly and politely with a “Hey man! How are you?” Or a “What’s up brotha!”.. even when it was my first time walking in when they had no idea who I was! Just really great crew who go out of their ways to make you feel welcomed.

I’d like to shout out one barber in particular named Deklan. I ask for him specifically when I come in. I’ve always had trouble with getting the right cut from other barbers at the many barbershops I’ve been to whether it’s regarding my hair or beard and his attention to detail along with the way he listens to your requests and makes sure you don’t leave the seat without feeling comfortable with the result is like no other barber I’ve been to.
