“I took my dog to PetMedic Urgent care for an infected anal gland that had burst. They were pretty good. Just did a basic exam and gave me antibiotics and pain meds for the dog. It wasn't cheap, but not outrageous either -- $260 for everything -- but I thought they did a good job, so my dog quickly, so I was happy with that.“

Luckily, I've discovered BetterVet mobile vets and they are awesome. Our current vet is Dr. Peter Gollub and he is wonderful! In addition to being a very smart & skilled vet, he's kind, patient, and understanding of my cat's nervousness. He and the staff he arrives with always take their time talking with us and going over any and all concerns, and he's very gentle and "calming" with Buddy. He's the only vet who was able to get Buddy to approach him to eat treats from his hand. Also, the online service is quick and easy to use, and I always get a response from them immediately when I use the online chat feature. Highly recommended!“

I called this clinic and was seen within a couple hours. I'm high drama at baseline, so I was extremely worried, but the vet, Sara, completely calmed my nerves and took exceptional care of Fiona. “I moved to Boston in June 2023 and was referred to South Bay by our dog walker. From the beginning we have found the team and veterinarians to be compassionate, responsive and skilled on their care of our two dogs. Recently our 12 year old retriever mix has had health issues and I’m sad to say that yesterday we had to make the difficult decision to euthanize her. Dr Baker was so incredibly kind and patiently talked us through options, gave us privacy to make the decision, and allowed us to gather the family to be with our beloved dog as she crossed the rainbow bridge. “They've been able to get my dogs in for urgent appointments, and we moved our elderly husky there because they were able to get her in same day for an urgent foot issue that ultimately required surgical intervention that they performed. She did fantastic, we were there several times over two weeks for follow ups. Had another urgent issue arise and they were still able to fit in same day.“

“My dog had surgery for a CCL tear last week, and the care she received was outstanding! The entire team at BVS was incredibly kind & caring, knowledgeable and professional. They made a very stressful time for me and my dog a comfortable experience. Dr. Briere took the time to explain everything to me and answer all my questions. When I called to check on my dog after surgery, it was clear that she was being closely monitored. The staff member was able to immediately give me an update on her condition and even sent me a photo of her covered in blankets! I couldn't have asked for better care for my dog. By the second day after surgery, she was already able to put more weight on her leg than before surgery.“
