Studio S is a small Brazilian hair salon located in Magoun Square. As a Brazilian salon they do 3 things very well: Brazilian blow outs, manicures/pedicures and waxing. The stylists and techs are all Brazilian, which means Portuguese-speaking, but don't let that discourage you from trying them out! This is a no frills place, but I have always been extremely happy with the services and the price point. A basic mani/pedi for $35? Yes, please!I can only speak on the blow outs and nail services, but their waxer is extremely busy and whenever I've been here she is with a client. My stylist and nail tech has always been Kessia. A couple things to note:- when getting a blow out, ask that they only use the dryer and brush, avoid the hair straightener as this gets rid of all the lovely body and volume. - if getting your nails done, it is crucial to be aware that you're getting a Brazilian style mani/pedi and this means your cuticles will completely disappear. If your nails are not used to this, ask them to go light on the cuticle cutting. Overall, a very reliable salon for getting basic services and I love that it's walking distance.

This place is awesome!! I have gone there for years! Best service. Awesome pricing. I feel right at home.
I’m not sure what the one star reviewer is talking about as her comments are definitely racist. For the record, I am a white American and I go there on the regular. Appointments are required though as these ladies are in high demand.
