I've been coming to Mabell's since moving to the Boston area in 2022 and am always impressed by the service, her care and attention to detail, and the relaxing and comfortable atmosphere that she creates in her salon! Mabell's does it all -- natural hair, braids, extensions, you name it. She is always respectful of your time, cares about the health of your hair and your experience in her chair. I couldn't ask for a better salon!

I took my daughter here for box braids. She has a lot of thick natural hair and they did a beautiful job! Everyone working in the salon is friendly, kind and very knowledgeable of hair textures and styles. From shampooing, conditioning, detangling and braiding they were great throughout the whole process! It was a long salon visit but she was fine the entire time and we will be back!

I got a wash & blow dry (short hair) for the first time at Mabell's Hair Salon 316 Broadway, Somerville. I loved the results and planned on making this my go to salon as it's also within walking distance. Then I went to pay the bill and was shocked by $60! I have Never paid so much for a wash & blow dry and, unfortunately, can't afford to use Maybel's in the future.?
