Just had my first massage from John Jay. He has great hands, strong but gentle. Asks for feedback about amount of pressure and adjusts quickly. Listens well. Did a great job loosening up a badly knotted neck! A really nice person - warm and relaxed.
Just booked a followup visit!
I've been going to John Jay for a year plus now. He's helped me tremendously in easing aches from a back surgery 2 years ago. Nowadays, I go to John Jay on a regular basis to address achy spots from weightlifting, working a desk job, and being a mom. I've been going to Katrina for massage for almost ten years, and hands down she is the best in the area: high quality, professional, clean, personalized services, and very intuitive. When I walk in the door, I immediately feel my shoulders relax -- it just has that vibe. Katrina really listens to her clients' needs and tailors each session holistically to what is going on physically and emotionally, and gives tips on how to apply methods of relaxation and massage into your daily life. She also does wellness coaching and has a wellness circle. Until you go to Katrina for massage, you don't know what you *aren't* getting elsewhere! I highly recommend Living from Center.
