Excellent teachers Gafa and Gigante! Great respectful students, outstanding cantigos (songs) and instuments. All techniques are in Brazilian Portuguese. Took my first class here and I'm staying. I also noticed they are very respectful of the whole Capoeira community as a whole and as a Brazilian, I really enjoyed everything about them. Reasonable price, they respond if you get in contact, 100/100 experience!
I've been a part of this group for the last five years, and love every moment of it. I started absolutely accidentally, curious about this Brazilian dance-fighting, and stayed for the people, the fun of singing and playing music, the purposeful movement, and the contact act of learning. Today I'm proud to say I can do a headstand, take someone down, and sing in Portuguese.
When I found CAQ on Facebook and took my first class, I was just excited to learn Capoeira. I had no idea that I would find a group of people that I now consider family.CAQ makes me look forward to Sundays and Wednesdays, which i never thought was possible.Gafa and Gigante are thoughtful, patient and incredibly fun teachers. The other students are fun, kind and encouraging.
