Unity Farm Sanctuary, established in 2016 by Dr. John Halamka and Kathy Halamka, is a haven for rescued farm animals. The sanctuary provides a safe and loving environment for animals such as alpaca, llama, horses, ponies, donkeys, cows, sheep, goats, pigs, and various birds. The sanctuary's mission extends beyond providing a home; it aims to educate the public about farm animals and foster kindness and connection. Unity Farm Sanctuary actively collaborates with the community and other organizations to find permanent homes for animals in need. Visitors can experience the sanctuary through scheduled tours, which offer the opportunity to interact with many of the animals. Volunteers play a crucial role in caring for the animals, and their dedication is evident in the well-maintained enclosures and the animals' apparent happiness. The sanctuary emphasizes that it is not a petting zoo but rather a home for rescued animals. While interaction is encouraged, visitors are reminded to treat the animals with respect and kindness. Unity Farm Sanctuary hosts special events, such as the annual Turkey Celebration, which provide additional opportunities for community engagement and support. The sanctuary welcomes donations and encourages anyone interested in making a difference to visit their website or schedule a tour.

From Unity Farm Sanctuary

Animal living areas of the Sanctuary are not open to Drop-In visitors - please sign up for a Sanctuary Tour on our website! Dr. John Halamka and Kathy Halamka created Unity Farm Sanctuary in 2016 to provide a safe and loving lifelong home for rescued farm animals, to educate about them, and to promote a culture of kindness and connection. Residents here include alpaca, llama, horses, ponies, donkeys, cows, sheep, goats, pigs and many feathered friends. We network with the community and with other organizations to help farm animals in need find lifelong loving homes.
