“I rarely write reviews (and when I do, it’s usually negative) but my experience with Carlson Heating and Air Conditioning was so outstanding that I feel their professionalism, their work ethic, and their dedication to customers should be known.

We called Carlson because our old AC system conked out just as the first serious heat wave of the summer hit (back in June). To my amazement, Mr. Carlson himself came out the next day, even though the co. was flooded with similar service requests. Within ten minutes, he identified the problem and gave me a quote for installing a new unit. Again, I figured it would be a couple of weeks before they could get to us, but two days later a very capable two-man crew showed up with a new condenser and had it in place by the next day.

The job turned out to be more complicated because the original ductwork was not big enough and had been installed incorrectly by the builder. Carlson could have just hooked up the new unit to the old duct system and walked away but they did not. In the middle of a brutal heat wave, they worked in a burning hot attic to install the correct-sized ductwork in the most efficient configuration. They even fixed the attic exhaust fan which hadn’t worked right for years.

I am super-impressed with this company. They know their technology, they stick with their price quotes, they show up when they say they will (a rarity in the Berkshires), and they keep working until the job is done right.

It has been a couple of months now and I am happy to report that the new AC system is virtually silent and our house has never felt this comfortable.“

They have also been excellent completing some smaller projects as well as responding to failures due to an old house and an errant floor nailer. Everyone on their team from office to job site has been respectful, responsive, and fair. Good people to work with.“

“These folks charged me nearly $1,800 to disconnect my kitchen sink when I was replacing my countertops and to reconnect it afterward - 4 to five times what I have ever paid for like service AND there was no hot water in the kitchen sink when they were finished. Although the technician agreed the price was “way too high” and said I could appeal it, they came at me both barrels blazing to say it was a fair price & were hostile & nasty about it within five minutes on the phone. They are crooks who should be out of business“

Clean, bright, large, and easy to check out the merchandise. The past two times I purchased items through Cori, who was terrific. Genuinely interested in helping me. And provided some excellent design advice. I wanted my items asap, and she followed up to ensure they were in and called me. Very pleased. The customer service at the counter where you pay is also excellent. Prices are competitive. No need to shop on-line or anyplace else.“

“I called on Monday to schedule installing a new toilet we had discussed with Paul a few months ago. Coreen scheduled Paul to come on Tuesday to take measurements. He said Coreen would call with a quote. She called Wednesday and left a message that she had a quote which she also emailed to me. She called back a couple hours later to make sure I got the message, I did not, (the coffee had not yet kicked in). I discussed the quote with my husband and called back with ok to order toilet. Coreen said she would call when the toilet came in and would schedule Paul to come and install it. I figured at least a week (I'd have plenty of time to give the bathroom a good cleaning). About an hour later Coreen called back and said they had the toilet we wanted and Paul finished a job sooner than anticipated and could be at our house in about 15 minutes! (I guess the bathroom gets cleaned later) Needless to say, I was thrilled. 1 hour later we had a new toilet that actually flushes, and Paul was on his way to his next appointment. Very pleased with the whole experience. We have used Gennari several times and have always been pleased with the results. The whole crew is very friendly and very professional. Too bad 5 stars is the highest rating I can give!“
