Today was the first time I had ever been to Berkshire Styles Salon. The salon is cozy and comfortable. Annie is friendly, knowledgeable and makes you feel welcome and at ease. Not only is the inside of the salon cozy and relaxing, but the landscaping and places to sit outside are very relaxing. Annie sends text reminders to your phone so you never miss an appointment. Berkshire Styles offers many services cutting and styling hair, tanning, ear piercing and more. There is a large parking area and the salon is in a convenient location. I went to have my ears pierced and am very happy with the results. Good job Annie!!!
I rarely write reviews (and when I do, it’s usually negative) but my experience with Carlson Heating and Air Conditioning was so outstanding that I feel their professionalism, their work ethic, and their dedication to customers should be known.
We called Carlson because our old AC system conked out just as the first serious heat wave of the summer hit (back in June). To my amazement, Mr. Carlson himself came out the next day, even though the co. was flooded with similar service requests. Within ten minutes, he identified the problem and gave me a quote for installing a new unit. Again, I figured it would be a couple of weeks before they could get to us, but two days later a very capable two-man crew showed up with a new condenser and had it in place by the next day.
The job turned out to be more complicated because the original ductwork was not big enough and had been installed incorrectly by the builder. Carlson could have just hooked up the new unit to the old duct system and walked away but they did not. In the middle of a brutal heat wave, they worked in a burning hot attic to install the correct-sized ductwork in the most efficient configuration. They even fixed the attic exhaust fan which hadn’t worked right for years.
I am super-impressed with this company. They know their technology, they stick with their price quotes, they show up when they say they will (a rarity in the Berkshires), and they keep working until the job is done right.
It has been a couple of months now and I am happy to report that the new AC system is virtually silent and our house has never felt this comfortable.

We could not have asked for a better experience following a minor winter storm that resulted in a tree falling on our house and through the roof. I called the emergency line and the owner was in my driveway in five minutes; the crew was on site in 15 mintutes and the offending tree removed and the roof was patched. They quickly provided estimates and scheduled a follow up job for another dangerous tree. It was so much easier dealing with insurance with Bartlett being so easy to work with. We will definitely use them again and we highly recommend Bartlett to all of our friends and neighbors.

We moved to a large estate in Litchfield County, CT last year. Upon arrival, the previous owner handed us a laminated list of over 30 tradesmen that serviced the property. Today, there is only one company of those 30 still employed here by us, and that is Haupt Tree. In a geographic area where it can be difficult to find real professionals, Haupt stands out. The company is highly responsive and completes every single task with excellence. Having a large property with a lot of trees, they are here frequently. Among the services they provide us: spraying for ticks, deep root fertilization, protective spraying/injection of trees and shrubs, tree and large shrub pruning, tree removal, new tree selection and installation, tree cabling, etc. Speaking as someone who has hired many arborists and tree-related experts over the years, I'll say Haupt is by far the best. Everyone who comes here is friendly and knowledgeable. Their equipment is incredibly impressive: new, gleaming, and task-specific. If I write Erik with a question, I get an answer back immediately. The office staff is sharp, responsive and friendly. It is no exaggeration to say we do not have another group helping us with exterior maintenance that even comes close. I unreservedly recommend Haupt should you have any tree-related question or issue. They are consummate professionals and will help you take the best possible care of the most important part of your landscape.

Absolutely love our groomer at Bow Meow!!! Honor has been grooming my families pets since I was a really young girl. She and her groomers are wonderful!!! So grateful to have kind, knowledgeable people that takes such awesome care of our precious fur babies!!
Just received two beautiful slabs. The wood was exactly as described, the customer service when ordering was extremely prompt and helpful, and the free shipping and hardwood crate was just icing on the cake. Will absolutely order from here again the next time I need something I can't get locally.
