I can't even give him a star. But can't post this without at least one. He was on the list of plumbers for Mass Save, so I trusted him, only to find out later that he is as greedy as they come. He charged me an exorbitant amount of money for a job that was not that much and then tried to justified his work on the invoice by stating that he did things he did not. Lesson learned. Wish I had read these reviews before I hired him. DO NOT do business with this predator.

This guy is nothing but a greedy greedy plumber. He installed a new HVAC Condensate Pump for me on Saturday, 9/9/2017. He was not asked to come to my home on a Saturday. Was overcharged an amount of $450. Was too shocked to complain. Googled the brand pump with model #. and found the part from several suppliers for about $60. Why this guy thinks he can charge about $400 for his time, which was at best under an hour to replace and install the new pump, is absolutely ridiculous!!! And by the way, had this guy install a new gas water heater a few years ago, and thought then that I was being overcharged, but what did I know. Wow, did I make an error in judgement to hire him... read full review

Work Description Powers Plumbing & Heating was hired on three occasions. The first was to install a thermostat and service a furnace ($350 for approximately 1.5 hours of work); the second was to install a new water heater (quoted $1,400, billed $1,450); the third was to come fix a leak that was causing damage to the apartment below (no quote - billed $850 for 1 hour of work (no parts) - renegotiated for $566). Experience: Dave Powers, the owner, personally came to my apartment and serviced the thermostat and furnace. It was at this time that he recommended that I get a new water heater. He personally inspected the area and quoted me $1,400 for the job. After it's... read full review
