“I take lessons with Sienna at Cambridge Piano Lessons, and I have had a phenomenal experience as an adult trying to get back into learning piano and taking lessons. Sienna is an absolute genius. She has a brilliant way of explaining music and how to play the notes on the page. She challenges me and provides feedback that helps me to learn more about the foundation of the music. She also provides explanations in music theory (without going too much in the weeds!) which allows me to understand the basis/foundations of the music that I am playing. I feel like I have definitely improved and am getting the attention that I need to advance my skills.“
“Fantastic school! I went there as a kid and am now going again as an adult for piano lessons. Friendly admin and high level teachers.“
“Kathy Clancy, known as Kathy on the Keys, not only tunes pianos but is the most extraordinary piano teacher! Her students range from very young children to elderly folks in their 80's. Whether you have absolutely no experience at all - or - whether you have played the piano for years, you should sign up for lessons! I've tested out several teachers only to find that Kathy Clancy is patient, a very talented musician and singer, and truly knows how to teach piano at all levels. Students love her sense of humor and her dedication to each and every one of them. Several of my friends take lessons from her and agree that they now enjoy learning to play the piano -- thanks to her techniques, well-planned lessons to keep you interested in music you enjoying playing, and her sincere interest in helping her students. Many may play piano but few can actually teach as well as Kathy. What are you waiting for; it's never to late too learn to play the piano!“
“We used Little Groove for my son’s 4th birthday party and it was amazing! They were so easy to work with and had great communication throughout the entire planning process. Tommy arrived early, and had 20 kids fully engaged and giggling the entire time. He brought a variety of toys (maracas, puppets, drums, parachute, etc) which the kids loved and also allowed them to participate in a variety of ways. I can’t say enough good things about little groove and I highly recommend them“
“We had the most wonderful experience! We took weekend classes with Anna and she was a joy. Our 2 year old looked forward to music class and loves it so much it’s now a game we play at bath time with toys “going to music class to see Miss Anna and her guitar”. The 8 weeks flew by. The rotation of songs introduced us to ones we don’t hear on our regular Pandora playlist. Our daughter loved the activities - rhythmic dancing with scarves, a parachute, large drums, egg shakers, and a multitude of handheld instruments. Anna keeps the atmosphere calm and engaging, with fun and energy dispersed for the kids, without it feeling chaotic. Very impressed with how she managed curveballs by children (like my daughter yelling out songs to sing that weren’t part of the planned set) and seamlessly weaving them into the activity without it taking over. Children feel heard and appreciated by Anna - she sets the bar very high for music classes to come! We had a sub teacher one week, and she was just as wonderful. Having 2 makeup classes is very generous and flexible for caregivers or parents. We love this class! ❤️“
“Tommy from Little Groove held a music class at our son’s birthday party and everyone had a great time! Tommy showed up with an acoustic guitar, drums, maracas a parachute and even more to play with the kids and parents. It was very engaging and fun! They were also very flexible with location when we had to change it due to rain.“
“Thank you for fostering the recitals, I believe watching other children do their best really encourages my own kids to try harder“
“Brought my treasured Takimine in for fret buzzThey assessed it honestly, took care of it timely-far beyond my expectations- and at a very fair priceCould not be more grateful and impressed“
“There is no question that one can learn an instrument, in this case the bass guitar, from Youtube or reading tabs and practicing them over and over. Sure, you can absolutely develop those skills over time and potentially be excellent at that one song you've always wanted to play! But...what's next? How much can you further explore? Can you fully understand why the songwriter chose to change that one part of the song that outshines the rest? Here, at Bass Lessons Unlimited, all questions and more are answered. Having a slight bit of prior music experience myself (being a band kid), if people ask me what is the best way to learn a new instrument, I will always say to look for a tutor. A tutor teaches you much more than just how to play the instrument. They show you technique, theory, and make the learning experience more personalized and fun! My tutor, Jed Lingat, is an exceptional teacher, bass guitar player, and overall, truly, an awesome person. His years of practice, wisdom of music theory, and kindheartedness have refined three excellent qualities that I hope to continue to learn from him: patience, creativity, and courage. Music is easy to learn, but difficult to master. One must have the patience to count from one to four several times in their head, intentionally slow down the hardest parts of songs, playing them even at 50% less of the actual speed, and to accept that the learning process takes time. Creativity and courage go hand in hand; one needs to develop the courage to explore their creative side in the world of music and refine their level of creativity to play courageously in front of family, friends, or live audiences! With these qualities and many more, Jed has taught me so much valuable knowledge in just over a year of tutoring. I know that I still have a lot to learn, as I am still in my adolescence as a bass guitar player, but choosing to pick up the bass guitar was one of the best decisions I've made for my life.“
“I highly recommend Yulia Berry as a flute teacher for all levels of players. She is a highly trained professional musician and a teacher with many years of experience. I have heard her students perform in recitals and was very impressed with the level of playing - both technically and musically. Yulia's teaching is comprehensive - in addition to private lessons, she includes theory classes, chamber music, group music classes and recitals in her program. Her students rehearse and perform on recitals with a wonderful professional accompanist - adding a very important element to a flutists musical education. Her students are regularly accepted by competitive audition to District and SEMSBA ensembles, perform with their school ensembles and enjoy playing the flute.Yulia is a warm and caring teaching who goes above and beyond with all of her students. As a professional musician myself, I have had the pleasure of knowing and collaborating with Yulia for the past several years. With her experience, integrity, and care for her students, any student of any age or level could not find a better teacher!“
