The cost was reasonable and the quality was superb. We worked with Architectural Design Inc to design and renovate our one hundred year old home on Cape Cod. It was a major undertaking but Peter Haig our Architect and David Bushnell our Builder were up to the task. They are so professional and knowledgeable as well as the nicest people you will ever work with. The level of craftsmanship and quality of the build is so impressive. We are so pleased with how the entire project turned out. We are so happy that we are actually beginning another project with them. Highly recommend Architectural Design Inc.
I had a tedious job that required out of the box thinking, and expertise about transforming a fluorescent fixture with a transformer to a LED fixture that kept the style. Jake and Alex went right to it. They were able to keep the wood lattice facade while incorporating a brighter and cooler LED core. It looks like a bright day and a sky light, and even my electrical bills will be "lighter". I was very happy with their service and the results. Osprey Electric is "lit". (I highly recommend this Company for your large and small electrical needs.)
Courtney is very gentle and yet has surprisingly strong hands. Today was my first massage after having a baby 4.5 months ago, and it was the perfect combination of easy on me and super effective to treat a multitude of knots and aches. Her unassuming space is cozy and clean and after 90 minutes, every muscle in my body feels like it has been unwound. I highly recommend her services and can’t wait to go back in a few weeks. Jake answers all my questions promptly with cost-saving advice - and in winter, if I have to go out, I just let him know when - and the guys have never failed to get here in time.
I had a great experience at this salon with Andris! I'm staying on the Cape for a few months, and I needed a haircut as well as a touch up of my color while away from home. Andris really listened to what I wanted and did a great job with my hair. The service ended with a great blowout that still looked great the next day! I'm glad I found this cute and trendy salon, and I would recommend it to locals and visitors alike!

Nan and Sue does my daughters' pedicure with loving care and precision. Sue takes care of my daughter like she is one of her own. My daughter has Downs Syndrome and she loves going to see Nan because she trusts her. It is with her professionalism and laughter that makes this place a lot of fun for the entire hour.
Francis has always been prompt, fair on pricing dependable.Most importantly unlike a lot of service workers on the cape he answers the phone or returns a message .He does quality work and lives up to his word .I've had other companies promise to show up especially on season and just refuse to come because they are over booked .

Stylist: It’s my first visit to Abercombie. I had Holy as my stylist and she transformed my too long hair into a sleek short bob. I washed my hair 2 days later and just air dried it, my hair still looked great just like when I walked out from the salon.

I recommend Bayside to everyone I know. I had several plumbing companies come out to my newly purchased cottage, only to be told that the work I wanted done (adding a washer/dryer hook up) was impossible and that I should raise the home and add a basement. In contrast, Bayside told me that anything was possible. And indeed it was, as I now have a washer/dryer... as well as a dishwasher and outdoor shower! I am on a first name basis with all or most of their team - everyone is professional, knowledgable, helpful, and tidy with their work. They are always responsive for issues big and small. Really can't speak highly enough of them!
Salon 16 West has been my salon of choice since I moved to the Cape 15 years ago. A new friend recommended it when I got tired of driving back to WMass for a haircut. I have gone to Fit Nail Bar twice for a dip manicure and regular pedicure. Both times my nails came out perfect! I was very happy after finding the salon through a Google search because I needed to get my nails done while staying down the Cape. The salon is clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable! I am very picky about my nails, so I was surprised to find a place that I liked so much. I highly recommend this salon!
Snows has always been there for us when we needed service, both routine and emergency. We recently had a burner issue that took three visits to resolve, but they got it fixed and did not charge us for the extra visits. It's always nice to do business with a local company that is an integral part of the community.

Desmond Well Drilling was the only bright spot in a big unexpected project. We’ve had our house for about 5 years and had fully taken our well and running water for granted, when we started to lose water pressure. Desmond had their sticker on our tank so I thought that was a great place to start. It was about 4 o clock but I was expecting a machine, but a very pleasant helpful girl took all my info and pulled up the records for the property. It was all done in 2017 so hopefully it would just be something small! Michelle called the next day and scheduled a service call the next day when the guys were in the area.Tommy came out the next day and gently delivered the bad news! Basically our pump was junk, but also seized in the shaft. He presented our options and basically recommended a new well. He said they could fight with the pump to get it out and replace it for x dollars (and the well could still need to be replaced so it was a bit of a gamble). We elected to go ahead and replace the well, correctly once and for all.Having a toddler and no running water is not a fun place to be and I was terrified how long this may take. We gave the go ahead on Thursday and they worked really hard, got the emergency permit, digsafe, everything and started Monday! Michelle is really a force!!It was a seamless two day job thankfully and Tommy and crew were neat, polite and explained everything in a way we could understand. He even used some sticks to make a diagram for me to explain the way a well works!They came in a few hundred under their estimate, and were really really easygoing and reasonable to work with. Our well was about 130’ deep and it’s very rocky where we live so it was no easy feat. Didn’t question for a minute if we had the right company for the job.This job was as pleasant and painless as an unexpected loss of water and 10k+ bill can be! I had a pedicure and it was great. This is a quiet shop that is never too busy because its location is hidden in a small shopping center. The owners are very hardworking, the shop is clean and they have all the equipment needed for fancy and basic nails. One employee, Jamie, is particularly good.
I can’t say enough good things about Animal Hospital of Orleans! I took my very anxious dog there today for a yearly physical with vaccines and blood draw for the first time and we both had such an amazing experience! We saw Dr. Ashley Stancil who was just so phenomenal!! She and our vet tech (who I feel awful for not catching her name) were so patient and loving towards my dog and made her feel as comfortable as possible. I definitely recommend Animal Hospital of Orleans for any pet needs!
We believed ourselves to be fairly seasoned in the remodeling game by the time we decided to remodel our home in Harwichport in 2016, having already endured 3 major remodels of our Dallas homes between 1989 and 2015. The tricky part was going to be doing it long distance as we had been very hands on for the previous ones in Dallas where we lived year round. This was going to become our new year round home within 5 years and we would be incorporating all the best of our latest projects. The second added challenge was that the house was originally an historic 1828 cape codder that had 2 additions added in the 1950’s and again in the 1970’s. The goal was to remove the 1950’s addition in the middle and replace with a modern kitchen, dining space and family room and seamlessly reunite it with “ the museum” and “the annex “ which included the master suite and guest suite.
Over a 2 yr.planning time, we had more than a dozen conversations with people who had endured remodels and their various contractors. We finally narrowed the search to 5 prospective candidates, including George Davis,Inc.as a late addition recommended by our local architect as she had heard good things about him. By the time we came to a final decision we had several meetings and quotes with all 5 and at the end of the day felt the best choice for our project was going to be the last one entering the race. This would be the best decision we ever made in our history of remodels and can readily say it was the most seamless, well planned execution that we had ever experienced, and it was the only remodel we ever did that came in on time and on budget..... didn’t think that was even possible. George has an incredible, professional and talented team and the communication is amazing. We never imagined that a complicated remodel such as this one could be so pain free and so perfect from 1800 miles away.
