Mr. Scher always wanted to be a taekwondo teacher. He studied not only martial arts in college but also business, military science and Korean language and history. He runs workshops around the world on taekwondo, the world's most democratic sport . I'm obviously biased because my son has worked with him for six years. But I know kids love working with him. His family classes bring people of all ages together.

Northampton Martial Arts has been a great school which my whole family have taken classes. My son started at a young age and worked his way up to black belt rank and continues his journey there. Master Scher is a great instructor. He is able to teach classes with multiple ranks and keep everyone challenged throughout. Unlike some schools, where belts are given not earned, students must learn the skills for each belt level before testing is scheduled. The prices are very reasonable especially with the many daily options for class times.I recommend Northampton Martial Arts to anyone who is interested in learning the disciplines of Taekwondo in a fun and positive environment.

My daughter has been taking classes at Northampton Martial Arts for many years now. I have always been impressed with Simon's ability to engage all ages of learners with his fun and humorous nature while also setting high standards for hard work and discipline. The studio is a safe space for kids and adults to work hard and play hard and my daughter leaves feeling good about herself. I would highly recommend!
