Jeff is a great piano teacher. Our daughter took lessons from him for about a year and a half now and is playing really great. She has learned a great deal from him. She is taking a little break for the summer but will be back in September. She really loves playing piano. We would recommend Jeff Olmsted to anyone. He is really a great teacher. The simply music that he teaches makes it very easy for students to learn right from day one.

Simply music has been a great method for my son to learn piano. Each lesson builds upon the previous and without having to learn to read music, he is now playing quite a repetoire of popular, as well as classical music. Jeff takes what seems like an intimidating task and breaks it down into manageable steps and next thing you know your child is playing more and more complicated pieces. I am amazed at how much he has learned in a year. Jeff has a relaxed style and encourages improvisation and having fun. His piano “parties" provide a casual, supportive atmosphere for showing off what you have learned and listening to what other students are playing.

Like many folks, I took piano lessons as a kid and hated it, but I always wanted to play. I've been taking lessons with Jeff for about a year and a half, and now I love it! One of the best things about the Simply Music, the system that Jeff teaches, is that you start playing songs on day one. Simply Music employs the notion that you don't learn the alphabet in order to learn to speak, so you don't need to learn to read notes in order to play piano.
