“Great haircut! I have straight-ish medium-length hair (with bangs) that is growing curlier as I grey (yay!). When I first visited Fringe Studio for Hair a month ago, I asked for a cut that would help my hair curl with a minimum of fuss. Jen did wonders for my hair! “Glamourama and my stylist, Janine, did me SO right.<br><br>I wanted a mullet but almost changed my mind because I couldn’t seem to find a reference photo that had the same type of hair as me or a style that felt right. I was close to just getting a trim.<br>I let Janine know and she found a picture that was close, ran me through all the things we could change, and helped me figure out things I hadn’t even thought of. I was still a little nervous but committed.<br><br>The end result is the BEST haircut of my entire life and a mullet that feels so right on my head.<br><br>More than anything though, it just felt like she was excited to give me a mullet. The person who made my appointment was excited when they saw me getting one and that just feels nice and really helped me feel better about something that made me nervous. “I got a haircut by Jaush at Great Clips in Northampton a month ago on April 27, and I am STILL getting compliments on it! I have thick graying hair and it was unshaped -- came straight to mid-back. He cut it to a layered angle that took off about 7 inches, chin-length, a completely new shape. What I really appreciated about how he worked is that he stopped about 4 times to check in with me -- really check in. He would ask me to look, to feel with my own hands how long or layered it was on the sides and the back, and make sure it was what I wanted before he kept going. A few times I said "shorter by a lot!" and he showed zero impatience at having to go back to redo (thick hair has to be cut in multiple tiers). The cut looks good with my face and is growing out well. I get compliments every week -- literally, my DENTIST and the hygienist spontaneously both said "what a nice cut!" and said how nice the back looked. (!) Chains like this can be hit or miss, and this one in Northampton is a hit! The management is good and the stylists care and take their time. Jaush has been there for 5 years and was friendly and easy to talk to. I took a chance, and I highly recommend. Spend less money on the cut and more money tipping the person cutting it!“
