I called Minuteman for a mouse problem. Their customer service is exceptional... from the person who took my call, Danielle, to the person who came out to our home. I didn't have to wait long at all for an appointment. I thought I was going to have to wait around that day but they were actually a little early. Danielle sent out very clear info prior to the appointment outlining our options. The man who came ( whose name I unfortunately can't recall) explained everything very well and gave me tips too. He was honest about what was needed, (just the basics) , and didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. Oh, if only I could find this level of service, honesty and value with other contractors! I highly recommend Minuteman! They are very professional. I just wish I had called them earlier!

Richard and his team are wonderful. In addition to quality walkway installation and driveway paving around our neighborhood, they installed for us a retaining wall and gravel pad for a large shed a few years ago, and this summer a beautiful backyard patio. Over the years I've brought many shoes and sandals to be repaired and he's always done a great job for a more than reasonable price. Brought in three pairs of unwearable sandals in last year and got three good pair back for less than 1/2 the cost of one pair. Brought a now $200 pair of SAS shoes to be resoled this year and less than a week later had an almost new pair for $25- he even shined them for me! Repair and reuse before tossing!!
This is the best optometrist I've ever used. Her eye exam is longer and much more thorough than most, allowing you to really understand what's going on with your eyes. She also explains what she's learned and how that may affect you. I feel that she provided the best solution possible for my vision issues.

Apologies to you, Patrick, for not posting a review sooner. We relocated to Northampton from out of state in May and of course I needed to find a new stylist. I read many salon reviews, visited websites, but kept coming back to Patrick’s. Something about him seemed like a good fit, and my instincts were correct.Patrick does outstanding work, listens (a biggie!) and educates you about your unique tresses. I wrote a review about 3 years ago but thought that I'd write another one. I believe that when you consistently get great service and end result that the reviews should be updated. Laura has been doing my hair for almost 4 years and her knowledge and ability is second to none. I'm an older client but still like to look my best and Laura (and June), make that happen. My hair has never been in such good condition and I just love the color! Sometimes you start with a salon and the first few times it's great and then they slack off. Not Laura! She give's it her all every time I enter Salon O! By the way, she inherited a Covid hair mess and with a lot of patience and time, she steered me in the right direction! Cudos to Salon O!

I wanted a mullet but almost changed my mind because I couldn’t seem to find a reference photo that had the same type of hair as me or a style that felt right. I was close to just getting a trim.
I let Janine know and she found a picture that was close, ran me through all the things we could change, and helped me figure out things I hadn’t even thought of. I was still a little nervous but committed.
The end result is the BEST haircut of my entire life and a mullet that feels so right on my head.
More than anything though, it just felt like she was excited to give me a mullet. The person who made my appointment was excited when they saw me getting one and that just feels nice and really helped me feel better about something that made me nervous. I can’t recommend Glamourama , Janine Lococo, and her mullets enough.

I got a haircut by Jaush at Great Clips in Northampton a month ago on April 27, and I am STILL getting compliments on it! I have thick graying hair and it was unshaped -- came straight to mid-back. He cut it to a layered angle that took off about 7 inches, chin-length, a completely new shape. What I really appreciated about how he worked is that he stopped about 4 times to check in with me -- really check in. He would ask me to look, to feel with my own hands how long or layered it was on the sides and the back, and make sure it was what I wanted before he kept going. A few times I said "shorter by a lot!" and he showed zero impatience at having to go back to redo (thick hair has to be cut in multiple tiers). The cut looks good with my face and is growing out well. I get compliments every week -- literally, my DENTIST and the hygienist spontaneously both said "what a nice cut!" and said how nice the back looked. (!) Chains like this can be hit or miss, and this one in Northampton is a hit! The management is good and the stylists care and take their time. Jaush has been there for 5 years and was friendly and easy to talk to. I took a chance, and I highly recommend. Spend less money on the cut and more money tipping the person cutting it!

You can get a great manicure here for a great price. Kerry --the sole manicurist and proprietor of this tiny but delightful salon--is a riot. She knows her stuff, too. Very intelligent, well-informed, and a good listener. I was a newbie when I started seeing her and she really listened to what I wanted, how hard I was on my nails, and what would suit me best. I have a gel polish now that has lasted 2 weeks through gardening, cooking, and being a nurse. There is lots of free parking, just a couple of blocks from downtown. There is an attached hair salon, too. Great atmosphere--you feel like you've walked into a group of friends having coffee and a laugh--without the coffee. The only reason this is not a 5 star is because she is quite booked and it is really hard to get an appointment. Leave a message though, and she will get back to you in a jiffy.

went in for a gel manicure. had a man named andy (not sure if i spelled it right ) and he was super precise with his work and very kind, personable, and funny. he did a great job with my manicure. he made sure i liked what i was getting done to my nails as i went. not to mention, the price was super reasonable. i would definitely reccomend going here and asking for andy!!
My feet were super busted. My toenail fell off due to an injury, and I was so embarrassed I hadn't set foot in a salon in months. The tech I had didn't say a thing about it and did her best to get my toes twinkling again. I was a little concerned about hygiene, but overall, it was a good experience.
Cleanliness: I was a little concerned by the cleaning practices. The nail tech rinsed off equipment in the pedicure bath. When I went to dry my toes, I could see little green flecks all over my feet under the blacklight ? I can't complain much considering the state of my feet but I probably won't return unless it's an emergency.

Jackie was amazing! My first cut with her and I was a bit nervous, she made me feel relaxed with her calm and gentle demeanor. She was gentle with my hair and considerate of my requests. I tend to get overstimulated easily at hairdressers and I did not have any issue with that here. Jackie was gentle with handling, the music and lighting were inviting and calm (not too loud). Ideal place for someone with sensory issues and anyone that wants a great haircut.

Great haircut! I have straight-ish medium-length hair (with bangs) that is growing curlier as I grey (yay!). When I first visited Fringe Studio for Hair a month ago, I asked for a cut that would help my hair curl with a minimum of fuss. Jen did wonders for my hair! I can't believe how great it's been over the weeks since my cut. It feels fuller with more body than it has ever felt before (and most days I only wash and condition!). I’ve only had great experiences at bang bang body arts, tiffany and tabitha are amazing! I got my nose pierced by Tabby in January of this year and went recently to change from a stud to a hoop. I was not in love with the larger hoop and they allowed me to figure out the sizing that I loved! They were so understanding, I could not recommend them enough!

Matt came out this morning to inspect the problem we are having with carpenter ants. What an awesome guy. He didn't find any tell tale signs of a colony which is fortunate for us. He told us to monitor the situation and if anything changes to contact him andeither he or his brother will come out and reassess and treat if necessary. I see why this company has been in business for 47 years, has an A+ rating and is accredited with the BBB.. Great company, great gentleman to deal with.... I would definitely recommend this company if you're having pest issues.

Very personable and informative representative (Collin) came to our location and listened to what we thought we wanted. After much discussion and gathering of all pertinent information, Colin said he'd figure out a long-term plan and send a proposal. We're looking forward to getting that.
We just had a huge hemlock cut down by Bob Aldrich of Warner Tree, and the way the work was done was excellent. Bob and his partner Mike are real virtuosos. This was a tree at least forty feet high, with a trunk more than three feet in diameter at bottom. It was dangerous work, requiring Bob to climb up the tree beyond where his bucket could reach, but the duo did the job in a smart, careful way, with agility and beautiful coordination between the two of them. They took it down quickly and smoothly without having a single piece bump the nearby garage--and for quite a reasonable price. We recommend them highly.

I'm impressed by her dynamic diagnostic ability- she figured out my problem quickly even though it was not what it first appeared to be. I typically do not take the time to compose feedback on my personal experiences, however I believe this person truly deserves attention and accolades. In all honesty, I have been a skeptic of this type of healing work for years and therefore did not pursue support for my chronic and ongoing areas of pain until recently. I wish I had gone sooner! Dr. Potash was referred to me by my primary care team for my lower back pain and an ongoing injury with my hip. He provided me with an empathetic ear, a thorough assessment, a gentle approach with effective adjustments. After my last session with Jason, we were able to successfully release an area in my lower back that provided me with instant relief. I started crying "tears of joy" from the astonishing difference I felt in my body...to not be in pain for the first time in years was SO surreal. What a gift! As a survivor of assault, I have strong boundaries around touch and I need to feel safe in order to receive healing care. I can honestly say that I have always felt respected, cared for and truly safe in his skilled hands. Highly recommend to anyone curious around this type of work.

I brought my to Vesh in West Springfield told them dog fell off couch, 9 hours later and several thousand dollars, I'm sent home with no answers and pain meds.
I go see Dr. Owen 10 minutes into the appointment looks at my dogs leg, feels it and it's swollen I have my answers! received meds going back for re-check! That's a great doctor!

It’ll be very hard to find a replacement for this clinic when I move out of the area. My cat is incredibly anxious and aggressive at the vet, and this office does a great job taking care of her. I highly recommend Florence Animal Clinic to anyone, especially those having trouble with their feisty animals at other clinics.

This is a glowing review! I've been practicing at Karuna since I moved to the area and it reopened after Covid closures in 2021. I have "shopped around" the whole valley for quality yoga instruction and Karuna is it. Paul is a wealth of knowledge and I am being genuine when I say that every class I go to teaches me something new about my body/form and I've been practicing yoga since 2008. It's truly a gem. Paul and also Suzie offer high quality classes and deep knowledge of the practice. (I don't know the other teachers well) They both have years of experience and can differentiate for any body and make everyone feel welcome and included. The studio itself is gorgeous and so conveniently located right on Main St in Northampton. I always leave feeling lighter, better, taller, and more myself regardless of what's going on in my world!

I just had my first session with Justin and loved it. I had a 90 minute massage followed by a 30 minute reiki and enjoyed every minute. He has strong hands which were pleasantly warm. The pressure was firm as I had requested and was perfect. I’ve received massages from many practitioners and Justin is on the top 5 for sure.
Emet is a master at what they do. The space is quiet, meditative and inviting. They take the time to ask questions and learn about your body and what brings you there. I've never left a massage studio feeling more at ease and relaxed in my body. Great wellness spot in downtown Northampton.
