My wife and I had eye exams recently. We are seniors and are without insurance. I had been a customer in the past while my wife was new. We were told that the cost for the exam would be $55 each. This was due to a AAA discount. 3-4 weeks later my wife received a bill for $180 for being a 'NEW' customer. This was not disclosed to us at the time of our appointment. They then placed a charge on our credit account for the $180. If we had been told this up front we would not have made the appointment in the first place. How do you do this to seniors that are on a fixed income. BEWARE!
Every time I go there it's a different optician and they seem to always rush. I end up having to go back for rx checks because the prescription doesn't feel right. Also it's done differently every time. If they would just take the time to help me instead of rushing me out, I could get the proper prescription the first time. What a waste. Update: I just went to a new place and found out that if this place had gotten my prescription right I wouldn't have needed to spend all that money on progressive lenses. I didn't have vision insurance so I spent $500 on progressive lenses with a prescription that didn't match my astigmatism. Thanks for nothing. Thanks for taking my money and leaving me with messed up eyes. Don't go here. Check reviews and go somewhere that is going to take the time to get it right the first time and talk to you.
Please don't go there. I can give you a list of reasons not to go. I'll keep it simple. I've gone to them but at a different branch. Ahead of time I called to confirm my records would be there. When I arrived they didn't have them after assuring me they did. The doctor made major changes and I questioned them. I bought contacts and glasses with that script. The prescription wasn't good for. I went back they assured me they would adjust things and easily swap the contacts despite me saying I got them elsewhere. I have wasted more time, my patient nature is beyond frustrated and they won't do what they said. So now I'm stuck with trying to get everything corrected and list substantial money. That's just a couple things. I've seen 3 doctors...just don't make the mistake and trust them. I do want to add that despite me being displeased I do think Dr. Renee Gomez is excellent for figuring it out on my 3rd visit.
