Newton-Wellesley Hospital Surgical Center Entrance & Registration

We have been to the Newton-Wellesley Hospital emergency room twice. Both times surprised at the attention to service from the check in to the doctor care. Both times walking in to an intimidating mass of humanity in the waiting room expecting endless hours of 'wait' and yet both times surprised to hear our name within 15 to 20 minutes. Then the routine room # for preliminary review then to be moved exam room # to wait for a doctor another 15 - 20 minutes. My name is Dr. Tonight shows within 5 - 15 minutes. Have gone here twice in the past 48 hours. The doctors and female nurses were excellent, but the Male nurses we had (3) on our first visit were efficient but very dismissive and cold. When I called back with an issue with meds, I again got a male nurse, who was downright rude. I feel like my question/issue should have gone through a doctor, not by a gatekeeper nurse. i guess I'll have to call back after shift change and hope I get someone who is willing to help. Meanwhile my child suffers.

The quality of care was great but the parking is a nightmare and the signage for navigating the hospital is below average for the Boston area. Thankfully the medical care here is top notch!!
