“Antonio is the most amazing barber. He is an older Brazilian man that is always there. His English isn’t great but he is extremely sweet and has such a calming presence. I don’t usually leave reviews but I’m leaving the area and am sad that I can’t bring him with me. He is the best I’ve had in Boston. I have straight course Asian hair and he knows exactly how to cut it with the most attention to detail. If it isn’t cut precisely it looks terrible and uneven. He cuts it once from how my hair is when I walk in, then he washes it, cuts it again, styles it and cuts it again to ensure the perfect cut from all angles.“

“I came here on a whim when I decided, basically overnight, that I needed a big chop and wanted to find somewhere close by. I was nervous, since I was getting 5+ inches off, but I was pleasantly surprised by Mechi Beauty. Michelle was knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. Most importantly, she gave me a great haircut! I'm thrilled with my new bob and will be going back to her for trims and future chops.Side note: I chose not to pay for a blow dry since I was just going home and didn't mind having wet hair, but I regret that since I couldn't really appreciate the haircut until my hair fully dried. I recommend getting it dried with Michelle so you can see what it will look like and if it needs adjusting.“

By going to Zina's salon and receiving her hair advice, my hair color has changed from a mousy brown to its natural darker color, and grown in length. I travel just to come and see her for wax, neosculpting (Amazing prices) you can see results after 4 weeks and sometimes after two sessions!...she'll always be detailed with everything she does. “Andrew has been an absolute superstar! I'm often looking to completely change my hairstyle and he's met those requests with excitement instead of apprehension. He's also done a great job with both hair transitions he's worked on with me! To be honest I can't afford his haircuts but I keep going to him because he's the only person in the city that I trust with non-standard hairstyles across the gender spectrum.

Edit: My last couple haircuts have been quite disappointing. I tried to convince myself the haircuts were okay. But the lines in my hair were uneven both times and I asked for layers both times and he cut my hair all to the same length both times. Since he didn't give me layers the first time, I asked him to cut my hair short if he needed to for layers the second time around. This time again he cut my hair all to one length, but this time shorter. I would trust him completely with masculine hairstyles but I don't think I'm ever going back for a hairstyle with any femme components. The last couple appointments also felt more rushed and like he didn't have the time or energy to spend on the haircut and just wanted it out of the way, so all in all, I'm probably on the lookout for a new hairstylist.. :(“
