Olivia was not just focused on doing my hair and makeup but on distracting me and making me feel at ease. They all get along with one another and with their clients, no matter the age. On the day of my wedding, Paige, Maggie, and Olivia O. were all outstanding.<br>My bridal party has still not stopped talking about how impressed they were with their hair and makeup. I never expected to feel that way about myself, being a harsh critic, and it truly put me to tears when I first looked in the mirror.<br>Olivia didn’t just do my hair and makeup and then leave, like most artists probably would. She stayed to make me a touch up kit, do last minute touch-ups right before I got dressed, and to talk through putting my veil in with my anxious mom. She didn’t once look at the clock or tell me she was there too long. She stayed and took pictures, complimented me and my bridesmaids, and left only when we all felt ready.<br>I could go on and on, but Olivia and her team we exceptional and I could not recommend them enough for weddings or any other special event! Its easily one of the best hair cuts I've ever gotten and I really appreciated how much time she took/what a thorough job she did discussing what I wanted done (I have pretty bad anxiety so that part is often hard for me, but I felt really comfortable and we were able to cover everything). I could also tell she was being very mindful of my hair texture the entire time she was cutting it which is often an issue for me when I get my hair cut (I have wavy hair). “I came here on a whim when I decided, basically overnight, that I needed a big chop and wanted to find somewhere close by. I was nervous, since I was getting 5+ inches off, but I was pleasantly surprised by Mechi Beauty. Michelle was knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. Most importantly, she gave me a great haircut! I'm thrilled with my new bob and will be going back to her for trims and future chops.Side note: I chose not to pay for a blow dry since I was just going home and didn't mind having wet hair, but I regret that since I couldn't really appreciate the haircut until my hair fully dried. I recommend getting it dried with Michelle so you can see what it will look like and if it needs adjusting.“

By going to Zina's salon and receiving her hair advice, my hair color has changed from a mousy brown to its natural darker color, and grown in length. While I go to Zina's to get my hair straightened, she styles and trims my hair properly so that I can wear it natural and put it up to exercise. I highly recommend Zina!“

Both Amanda and Sal are gifted artists. Both have received well-deserved Boston Magazine Best of Boston awards. After a visit my hair always looks great thanks to these two talented professionals. What is more is that they are both very lovely people as are other team members at the salon. The new location at Park Plaza is charming and comfortable. “I went for a postpartum haircut and took our baby with me to the appointment. Faron was extremely accommodating. She helped moving the stroller inside, arranged so that our baby could see me at all times, and made space for changing the baby. I had long straight hair that was noticeably thinner than before pregnancy. I gave Faron free hands to give me a short cut that would make my hair look fuller. She did a wonderful job bringing my hair alive!“

“Andrew has been an absolute superstar! I'm often looking to completely change my hairstyle and he's met those requests with excitement instead of apprehension. He's also done a great job with both hair transitions he's worked on with me! To be honest I can't afford his haircuts but I keep going to him because he's the only person in the city that I trust with non-standard hairstyles across the gender spectrum.<br><br>Edit: My last couple haircuts have been quite disappointing. I tried to convince myself the haircuts were okay. But the lines in my hair were uneven both times and I asked for layers both times and he cut my hair all to the same length both times. Since he didn't give me layers the first time, I asked him to cut my hair short if he needed to for layers the second time around. This time again he cut my hair all to one length, but this time shorter. I would trust him completely with masculine hairstyles but I don't think I'm ever going back for a hairstyle with any femme components. The last couple appointments also felt more rushed and like he didn't have the time or energy to spend on the haircut and just wanted it out of the way, so all in all, I'm probably on the lookout for a new hairstylist.. :(“
