Within three days they removed 35 courses of brick (ca. 700), reinforced rotten studs, replaced plywood, changed 3 sections of flue, layed 35 courses of new brick, repaired damaged siding, replaced gutters, and installed a new chiminey cap. Having reached retirement age, I can no longer complete major home repairs as I once could, despite my experience. Hence, I must rely on others.I put the word out that I needed my chiminey repaired. I gave them a call and understood why they were recommended.Anchor provided an estimate that broke down both labor and material costs, and they provided an estimated time of completion. After submitting a request to Home Advisor seeking chiminey repair, I was inundated with calls from numerous contractors. They each arrived with impressive new work trucks that likely never hauled a single brick. Each company sent two well-dressed representatives to take photos and measurements--yet neither had the competence to draft an estimate on-site.The exception: ANCHOR CHIMNEY. Dennis (the owner) arrived in person and had a reasonable quote available on the spot. He sent a crew out the next day to begin the work.
