I went in as an over-toned blonde processing it at home for about 3 years & had decided I desperately needed the change with it just not growing and the health of it had become bleh. He totally listened to everything I said and understood exactly what I had photo referenced of what I was looking to do with my hair, he was very reassuring every step of the process.
