How lucky I was to need medical care in Medford and have access to this! I am from out of town and something came up on my visit. I tried to book online but ended up just getting an Uber and it was incredibly fast to get in and be seen (Saturday morning 9am). I have never been seen or treated in an urgent care as quickly (and I wasn’t bleeding or anything). I was out with my prescription in about half an hour. Thank you to the team!!Edit: I ended up being billed about $45 after insurance, which is something I was concerned about based on reviews. I do have very good insurance but thought I’d add that for what it’s worth.
If you have to visit the urgent care visit their website beforehand and select an arrival time. It doesn’t guarantee you’ll be seen exactly at that time but it lets them know to expect you. I arrived for one of the first slots on a Sunday morning and was seen within 10 minutes. I was out in 25 minutes feeling better. I had my own bay (this used to be an emergency room) and I was separated by a wall on one side and curtain on the other from other patients. The relief was temporary but it got me to my visit with a primary care physician (which took longer than it should to schedule, thanks U.S. healthcare).
The staff at Lawrence Memorial Urgent Care are amazing. The woman who checked us in was so nice and got my daughter entered in the system while joking with her even though she had an ear infection. The staff intake for vitals brought us right in and took my daughters temp and weight. He went out of the way to make sure she was not scared. The urgent care actually looked quite busy. We were brought to the back. The PA and nurse came right in. The PA made sure to ask my 3 year old daughter if it was ok to look in her ear. I appreciate the request for consent even for a child so young. He checked my daughters ear and confirmed it was an ear infection. The nurse typed it... read full review
