“Best dog walkers in the city! They walk the pets with care and provide the best updates.“
“We can't say enough good things about Zen Dog! Gordon worked with us very soon after we brought home our 4 month old (adorable, if nippy and jumpy) rescue puppy, the first for our family. It was fantastic to have "Uncle Gordon" work with all 4 of us (2 adults and our 15 and 12 year old kids) in our environment and in a way so we'd all get the same messages and practice the same techniques with our puppy. G explains the "why" behind the training methods to build understanding with us humans and consistency for our puppy. And it works! We're still working on some things, so in visit 2, Gordon helped us focus on they places we were being inconsistent -- so helpful. Nipping is already way down (and no accidents in the house for weeks now!). And if you're not local, still check out Zen Dog comics and podcast!“
“Our nervous and anxious dog has always had a hard time going to the vet, but we’ve finally found a place that is able to treat him without him experiencing a panic attack. What they are doing works wonders!
In terms of pricing, it is reasonable, I appreciate the treatment and prices so much so to drive out of my way +35 without traffic.
Highly recommend!“
“We had a wonderful experience with Paws to Consider and worked with them for many years for our dog. They were extremely organized, kind, and responsive.“
“As a Animal Control Officer who appreciates people who help animals, I wish I could give the Dogmother a 100 star rating!
This daycare has the biggest outdoor space that’s split into different yards along with a trainer dedicated to each group of dogs. All dogs are placed with small groups which I prefer, and always have a attendant at all times. Everything is on video 24/7 and the staff is very well trained to handle dogs and groups of dogs.
This business is very highly recommended by residents, Rescue organizations like Sweet Paws Rescue and many local ACOs , Police, Fire, and local city officials.“
“I have been taking my new puppy to Petiquette for the last four months since we got him and have had such a great experience! Jen and her team have really shown care to us and do a great job with the groom on top of that. Bringing a new puppy to the groomers can be stressful as you want them to have a good experience off the bat. Jen was very welcoming when we wanted to bring Harvey in before his first appointment to socialize him to the new environment as well as Jen and her team, who were so kind and even gave him a little nail trim during his visit! He has had three grooms since then and each one is better and better! They always let us know how he does with each appointment, and they have the patience to work with him as the grooming process is still pretty new! He was having a bad morning when I dropped him off at Petiquette after getting spooked on a walk, but when I picked him up he was all smiles and happy. Samantha did a great job with his most recent groom pictured, and we can’t wait for his next appointment!“
“Boston Best Dog Walkers are awesome they are super responsive and always accommodating! Aaron and Ryan are fantastic, they always make sure even when last minute changes or plans pop up that they can quickly accommodate our dog (Hank’s) request!“
“I am so thrilled I found North Boston Dog Training! Rhonda trained our very high energy Brittany with the two week board and train! I was very hesitant about the training because Navy has allergies and very sensitive skin (can’t use most training collars) but so glad we sent him. Rhonda listened to our concerns and designed the training around what worked for him. Within two weeks, he is so much better on a leash and is already off leash in our backyard. Before training, I’d literally be in tears during our walks but now I’m skipping and smiling. So thankful for Rhonda and North Boston Dog Training. Will be using them again for any future dog!“
“We adopted a Maltipoo from Wendy Lindquist at Snow Pond Farm
I can’t say enough about how wonderful she is
Our puppy came home and was a delight, it was clear that he received such love and attention , he has such a great disposition . Everyone we meet say s he’s so well behaved for a puppy. Working with Wendy was also such a pleasure , very accommodating and helpful getting us started with a new puppy
She provided a binder with all his paper work along with ,
His blanket, teddy bear, favorite chew toy in an adorable tote bag
I highly recommend snow pond farm“
“Highly recommend. Have been sending our dog here regularly for daycare and occasional boarding during the past year. Our pup always comes back tired and happy. The facility is clean and there are cameras so you can see your dog 24/7. They also offer pickup/drop off service at a very reasonable rate.“
“Jen cared for my 11 year old hound mutt Biscuit during my 4 day vacation. She sent photos and texts. It allowed me to know the big guy was happy. She’ll be the first person I call before my next vacation!“
“When I moved to East Boston mid 2021 it has been a couple of years since my little guy had been to a structured daycare. By that point there had been a lot of changes in life, personal and work, on top of spending 24/7 by my side the past 2 years. When I mentioned this to a close friend he had nothing but amazing things to say about Harbor Hounds. The amazing difference he saw in his timid pup with her confidence was night and day. While my little dude is anything but timid, his anxiety (seperation and otherwise) was at an all time high.My dog has been at Harbor Hounds for 2 years now and cannot say enough great things. Sarah, Lindsey and the rest of the employees there are beyond kind and caring. No matter the day, every time I drop him off his tail is always wagging. They let Yuki be Yuki all while helping him improve and learn along the way. It's made a huge difference in both his and my life.“
“There are no words to truly show how much Dogwood Cottage has meant to us and to our dog, Leo, since we started going in 2021. We had tried a different place before, which made Leo nervous around dogs and humans. When we went to Dogwood, Leo loved playing with the sweet group of dogs that come to daycare- he even has a few girlfriends there now! We love seeing the pictures/videos of him playing with his buddies on the Dogwood Cottage Instagram and seeing how happy he is every time he goes! The love, and attention, and patience that the staff shows Leo continues to be above and beyond— it has helped Leo come out of his shell with humans. I know that a large reason for this staff culture is due to the leadership of Dogwood’s manager, Carl James. Not only is Carl incredibly knowledgable about dogs and their behavior, but I have come to know Carl closely and feel that I can speak to his kindness, dedication, and selflessness. He deeply cares for the dogs that come to Dogwood as well as the satisfaction of their human owners. Carl is responsive, responsible, organized, thoughtful, and I will always completely trust Leo in him and his staff’s care. Carl consistently goes above and beyond. Any place that Carl is, is a place that is lucky to have him and a place that we trust 100%.“
“Our dog LOVES Go Play! We did puppy and basic obedience courses there and she goes weekly for daycare. When they open the door for her to come in our dog runs in and doesn’t look back! Go Play was also super helpful and supportive when we were going through behavioral issues with our dog. They’re so fantastic!“
“Wonderful place- our pup is excited to go and ready for a nap after an exciting day of play. If for an overnight, great care and stay is individually curated.“
“Kim is very reliable and dependable. We love getting our daily pupdates stating how our dog's walk went. Very trustworthy walker, you can tell she genuinely cares for the dogs she walks!“
“We used Paws About Town for a few years while we lived in Newton MA. Im a first responder, so i dont have a set weekly schedule. They were the only dog walkers we could find that were willing to work with our schedule. Our dog is a blind Puggle with a big personality. She absolutely loved every time she got to have her play dates with Jason. You can tell he truly loves what he does and cares about each dog. We even had them board her while we went on vacation a couple times. Honestly I'm not sure I would trust anybody more than Paws About Town with my dog.“
“I have attended classes here for over 20 years with three dogs. It was a great experience for all of us.“
“Great experience with dog training! Worked with James who is an absolute rock star. We've seen immediate improvement in our dog's behavior.“
“We have been working with Cara for basic training for our very playful, energetic and friendly 3 month old German Shorthaired Pointer. She has been amazing! Within one session with Cara, we found ourselves with a more manageable puppy. Our puppy also loves working with Cara. Cara really cares about what she does and it definitely shows! She arrives on time and knows exactly what to do. She’s also available to field any questions or troubleshoot any situations for 2 weeks after your session. We highly recommend her to anyone!“
“Wonderful people who care so much. Very happy we switched our vet care to Emmerson with our fox red lab“
“I've been sending my dog Momo to Tammy and the team at Pondside for over a year now - he gets great attention, treatment and always has a fun time with his friends. Tammy has also provided grooming services that has been super helpful for a tantrum prone corgi. Great value and I know Momo is being well taken care of every time he goes“
“The dog groomer, Jonathan, Is not just incredibly kind, he treats each dog like it's his own and that is very comforting. He's very detail oriented so Sammy looks terrific!“
“The entire team at Ruff Translating are beyond incredible. They really are “fluent in dog.” When I started my service dog training journey, I was completely overwhelmed and wondering what I’d gotten myself into. At no point will I pretend that training your own service dog is an easy undertaking. It takes consistency, persistence, and the ability to take constructive advice from people who know what they’re doing. In the year that I’ve worked with Ruff Translating, Apollo has completely transformed. I never imagined that we’d ever get to where we are now as a team.Ejay, Kim, and Michelle put so much time and effort into personalizing training plans for every individual team. The weekly report cards and homework are the perfect framework that I needed to get to where Apollo and I are now. I thoroughly appreciate the direct communication, and clearly outlined expectations for handlers and dogs alike, as it’s made navigating this process of owner training so much more manageable! These wonderful humans truly care about each and every one of the teams that walk through their doors. I’ll continue to recommend them to anyone and everyone who stops to compliment me on how incredible Apollo’s behavior is.“
“We have used K9 Academy New England for both of our dogs. Matt has worked with them at different stages individually and collectively. He always goes above and beyond to answer questions and he genuinely cares about his craft. I have recommended him to many people and the consensus is the same, HE IS THE BEST. These services are worth every penny, as our dogs are well behaved and we are informed and responsible dog owners, all due to Matt!“
